This is absolutely necessary to purchase while working on wires in the house. It will make multiple beeps with a red light when the circuit is on. It will phantom beep if you rub it up against something causing static because it is sensitive but it works very well without needing to touch the wires directly.

Super easy to understand and follow instructions. Works PERFECTLY. I can’t believe anyone would give this a negative review. I’m so glad I trusted the positive reviews and when I noticed Hyper Tough was behind it I knew it was likely to be a winner. And it is!! Plus they supply the batteries too?!?! The pics show clearly when the power is off and when it’s on. Thank You!!!

We have a bunch of projects around the house that include electoral work so this will come in handy.I showed a picture if it my bunch has a switch to turn or shut that bench off so it worked great to demonstrate. This works great and the price it great too! Its also very easy to use the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The tip of it reacts to electoral current going to it or not when it lights up red it hot and when it done it's not.

I bought this to test Christmas lights. It did the trick. I was able to find the bad bulb in over 6 sets of lights. It paid for itself after my first use.

For the price it works easy simple to use was just as accurate as my more expensive one just had less options i would buy again if i needed one cause i lost my more expensive one duh 🙃

If you have home power problems. The best way to find the real trouble is knowing where to start. If you have all breakers on, but no power where wanted. It a good idea to know the source.

I've spent good money trying to find a detector and ended up with so many bells and whistles, I still don't know how to use them. This is basic and gets the job done. Very happy to have found.

Fairly easy to use. The Knob can be twitched off and on, which allows quick usage.

I bought this Hyper Tough non-contact voltage sensor from Walmart to have something simple and safe for checking live wires around the house, and it mostly does the job. At first I wasn’t sure if I was using it right, and had to test it on several outlets to feel confident. It’s a good value for basic use, especially for homeowners doing small electrical fixes, but I wouldn’t rely on it for anything more advanced. Still, it’s a useful tool to have around.

I don’t know if I got a bad one or not. But it did not work. It beeped over anything that it touched or got near. It beeped when it touched my bread, wood, the wall anything. So it was not useful for me.
