Obviously not homemade, but they're still pretty good. To me, the convenience factor makes all the difference. I love to be able to focus on my entree's knowing the mashed potatoes will be ready during the time my protein is resting after roasting. Don't be afraid to add your own little finishing touches either.

These are SOOOOO good. Yes they have a high sodium content, but you don't taste it. Prep is a breeze, microwave water, sump in the pack, let sit, and voila! I usually add a dab of sour cream as a topping, Perfect, and shelf life is just another plus!

These Idahoan Loaded Baked Mashed Potatoes are dangerously delicious. I made them as a “quick side” and somehow they showed up tasting like I had carefully crafted a steakhouse masterpiece. The flavor hits all the right notes — creamy potatoes, savory bacon vibes, and that melty cheese goodness woven through every bite. It's rich without being heavy, and somehow still feels homemade. We paired it with crispy chicken one night, and let's just say the chicken had competition. The texture comes out smooth and fluffy, and if you let it thicken just a little? It turns into an absolutely elite dip the next day. Crackers, veggies, even as a spread on a sandwich — no judgment here. If you want maximum comfort with minimal effort, this one's a pantry must. Five stars, no hesitation, and absolutely making it again.

Idahoan flavored mashed potatoes are one of my most favorite go to side dishes. I especially love the loaded baked potato one although we regularly use about 4 or 5 different flavors that we rotate. These are sooooo good they don't even need gravy! Very easy to make, I make them in a bowl, but I do use 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of water and I do put about 3 pats of butter in them too. I boil the water, put a cup of milk in a glass bowl drop the butter in and microwave it to get it hot, add the water and the potato flakes and mix, they will thicken as they sit. Scrumptious easy side dish, just add a veggie and/or salad with your meat and potatoes and you have a good easy meal.

I get into 'comfort meal' kicks where I want the same thing for a week or two straight and this has been my latest comfy food! I make a batch of these taters, then mix in a can of (drained, cooked and seasoned) corn, chop up a few air-fried chicken nuggies and add a handful of shredded cheese and boom - homemade KFC bowls! I don't add the gravy to mine as I typically have enough of a seasoned butter sauce from the corn to make the gravy unnecessary. All of the extras aside though - these stand alone as a flavorful instant potato option that I would recommend giving a try!

These Idahoan loaded mashed potatoes are so good. We usually make homemade, but this is our preferred choice when we're in a rush. PLUS, the leftovers make the best deep fried potato balls. Just take about 2 cups of leftover mashed potatoes, add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, some finely sliced green onions, and about 1 cup of your favorite shredded cheese, and mix it all together. Take a nice size amount (golf ball size) roll them in your hand until smooth, and then roll in panko bread crumbs and fry at 350° for just a couple of minutes. Let them sit to cool until safe to eat, and enjoy! Perfect with dips like mayo and ketchup, mustard, or ranch. Any dip you choose, and watch the cheese ooze! So good!

These mashed potatoes are a game-changer! The texture is just right. They are perfect as is, but when I can, I add some shredded cheddar, diced green onions, and crumbled bacon, and it's like a party in my mouth.

These have a really good taste! My husband really liked them and asked me to make sure to get more. If you prepare instant potatoes correctly, people aren't even sure they are instant.

IDAHOAN is the best, most flavorful instant poatoes! And "Loaded Baked" tops my list--although all their flavors are good! I just wish they weren't so EXPENSIVE!!

It's easy to prepare and the texture is fine. However, it tastes overly salted and I don't use salt very often so it's not me oversalting them. I prefer the "Baby Reds" flavor of the same brand. I just add butter and eat. I don't taste anything that resembles a loaded baked potato but that could just be me. Also, I would recommend not using your a microwave for preparation. Follow the instructions because any deviation will mess with the flavors, which in this case, might actually NOT be a bad thing
