Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing Mix Side Dish, 6 oz Box

I bought this to follow a recipe for meatloaf. This stuffing was the replacement for breadcrumbs. It was so delicious, that I will always hope it's in my cupboard when I decide to make one that I didn't plan ahead of time to do. I highly recommend that you give it a try.

I absolutely love the taste of this product which I had seen advertised for years before I purchased it, largely due to the great price Walmart sells it. This product, which has a few different varieties is not just a Thanksgiving item. It's a great side dish for steak 🥩 pork chops, or most other dinners. It's also easy to prepare and ready in a flash.

I like to have an alternative carb for a chicken or turkey meal, and it can take the place of potatoes, rice or noodles---just a variation so meals aren't boring. The seasoning is good, not bland, and my young grandchildren like it, and they usually only like noodles. I love it and it reminds me of thanksgiving at my grandmother's house without all the work. So easy to prepare. I always have it in my pantry.

Hear me out…if you use a pack of this instead of breadcrumbs, ritz etc. when cooking meatloaf, it'll be the most delicious you've ever had! It holds everything together perfectly. I also swap the normal seasoning and use a Lipton onion soup packet. This stuffing is the secret ingredient in southern meatloaf…I get so many compliments!

I think I have mentioned before that a little trick I learned was to use chicken broth instead of water? Do it! The difference is like day and night!

This can't compare to homemade stuffing, but it'll do in a pinch. A few years ago, we had to spend Thanksgiving in a hotel, and it had a very limited kitchen. There was no oven, but there was a microwave and a small cooktop. Using ingredients I could prepare on the stovetop, I was able to put together a nice meal (see pic). These days, I sometimes add pieces of rotisserie chicken to the pot of stuffing, right as I pull it off the heat to sit. Just add a side or two, and we have a quick and easy meal. Be sure to use chicken broth when making the stuffing instead of water, and it'll have a better flavor.

While this dressing isn't quo\ite like Mom's homemade dressing, it does suffice when you need to serve a dressing and don't have time to make it rom swatch. This is quick and easy to prepare. It is a little salty in taste, so I try not to eat too much at one sitting. I add reduced sugar dried cranberries to the pan when I make this dressing - they add an extra touch of Thanksgiving flavor.Easy
