This is a strong recommendation if you use real dairy as directed. I got marginal results using oat milk and olive oil, but when I switched to milk and butter, the potatoes exploded with authentic mashed potato flavor. It's amazing how Idahoan replicated real potato texture with this dehydrated product. Once you add liquids and fat, the potatoes taste and eat like real mashed potatoes. It's a great product to have on hand for emergencies as they don't spoil, and you have access to potatoes in your cupboard anytime you need a filling side dish.

Use to thicken soups or stews. quick fix for daily use. I actually made twice baked style potatoes the other night with the leftovers ( butter, sour cream, cheese, onion powder and diced some leftover bacon and dried chives)

I had previously ordered the small packets of these Idahoan mashed potatoes but it always made more than I could eat so I decided to get the box so I could measure out just what I needed. These mashed potatoes are tasty and taste like they were freshly mashed. They are perfectly seasoned for my taste.

These are the best tasting of all mashed potatoes. Hungry Jack is too thick, others are too sour, some are runny. Idahoan is just the perfect blend. I did add a bit more milk at the end when they are all done, to stir them up a bit lighter. Of course, a few tabs of extra butter blended in too.

There are so many possibilities with this mix. super fast, super easy, thin, mashed, mortar, and everything in-between! Easy base for Shepherds Pie, easy hot cup of something for a cold say. Mix in your favorite canned veggies, add some cheese, toss in some crispy onions and so much more. Excellent flavor, smooth, simple and easy to teach.

Tastes great, BUT requires more preparation than the pouches, which only need water. Didn't realize I would need to add milk and butter when I purchased it. Better value, but I'll go back to buying pouches for the convenience.

i told Walmart via chat that heir food is contaminated (ashes were dropping from my items in shopping bag). I am yet to receive a refund.

Not happy it has a big whole in the box. I'm disabled and no car and the want me to bring it to the store like I got a car. This is why I pay for it to come to my house. Didn't even ask if I could get it to them.
