Very nice cooler. I love that it has the built in bottle opener that you can also use with a padlock to keep critters out! Can't wait to test it out for my trip in July!
Great size and price point at the time of purchase was good for a rotomold type cooler. Handles are just right for me. Only complaint is there is no gasket around the lid, but I can modify that , if necessary. Also the latches are really stiff. Can be difficult to open and it may stretch out or loosen a bit after time. I'm using this as my fishing/shopping cooler and it fits perfectly in the back tub of my Honda Ridgeline!
The Igloo 50 QT Overland Ice Chest Cooler in green is a dependable, no-nonsense cooler that gets the job done without breaking the bank. It's sturdy and well-built, with solid insulation that keeps ice intact for days—perfect for weekend trips, tailgates, or backyard BBQs. The 50-quart size is roomy enough for drinks and food for a group of friends, yet still easy to carry. The molded handles and secure latches make it easy to transport and keep contents sealed tight. Cleanup is simple thanks to the smooth interior. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of premium coolers, but it delivers excellent performance where it counts—keeping everything cold and accessible. If you want a rugged, reliable cooler that won't drain your wallet, this Igloo hits the mark.
Love this cooler perfect size for me. I use this cooler for baseball tournament weekends. Holds plenty of drinks and snacks for weekend. I never take out of my truck and in Florida heat, the ice stays good all weekend.
This chest keeps my drinks super cold. The trick is putting ice in the night before and then put refrigerated supplies and top every thing off with more ice. Ice lasted me 4 days. Always keep chest out of the sun. With this chest I eliminated 3 chests that I carried extra ice to get me through camping. Worth every penny.
I got this for way less than a Ninja, Yeti or Artic brand. I have been using it to keep ice in lately. The ice stays and very slowly melts. There are no leaks or condensation on the outside of it. I think it is excellent for the price. The latches are secure, but easily opened.
we get very hot at my house in the summertime and so and we live about 30 minutes from the nearest grocery store this has been a godsend for me my ice cream doesn't melt on the way home anymore which makes it much more appealing yes I would recommend this it's worth the money my ice lasted for a week mind you it was cooler weather it lasts 2 or 3 days if it's warm
Great alternative to the Yeti brand for the not so serious camper, at a fraction of the price. This cooler kept our food and drinks cold for a hot two-day camping trip in late July. Temps were in the high 90's during the day. I filled the cooler approximately 50/50 ice to food by volume, and we still had ice in the cooler when we got home. I think I could stretch this to a 3 day cooler with a little creative packing of food and maximizing the space for ice. For the price, I love it!
I purchased this cooler before a 4 day fishing trip. I put 2 bags of ice in the cooler with food and drinks the day we left. I still had ice on day 4. My friend had a similar, more expensive cooler and the igloo outperformed it. I would definitely recommend this cooler
I did not feel comfortable for t he long term with the closing rubberized clasps. It would have been better with a metal closure to last longer. The soft rubber worked well but i do not see a long term use with this material. Otherwise, the cooler is sturdy, slightly heavy without wheels. With the amount of items it can hold, it would be quite heavy; it would need two people to carry it on the beach or anywhere if fully loaded!
