IMUSA Bamboo Mortar and Pestle, Small

I've always wanted to try using a mortar for my cooking, and this came at the perfect time! I'm honestly so glad I finally did, because it completely elevated my kitchen experience. The quality is amazing—sturdy, well-made, and it doesn't slide around while I'm using it. Grinding spices and herbs feels effortless, and you can really smell and taste the difference compared to pre-ground ingredients. It brings out such fresh, bold flavors in every dish. It's also super easy to clean and looks beautiful sitting on my counter, which is always a plus. I'm Trinidadian and in my culture, this tool is very useful. We include a lot of seasonings into our cooking. When I opened the package, I first thought it was a bit small but it's definitely sturdy and does a great job! I've used it to crush garlic, cilantro, peppers, etc for seasoning and it worked like a charm. A step up from the stone I was using before (iykyk). A staple in my kitchen and I would definitely purchase an even bigger size.

I used the Imusa small bamboo mortar and pestle to grind some herbs and peppercorns for my recipes. This mortar and pestle differs because it is taller and narrow compared to other mortar and pestles. This design helps keep what I am grinding in the pestle better. I also like the bottom and how easy my hand can hold it too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone to try and would definitely buy one. My children ar3 horrible at taking medicine. We've been having the cold and fly sicknesses going through pur home and this made it easier to crush up their medicine and mix into their pudding cups.

Although the product was a little smaller than expected, it still held up well to the mashing of ingredients within it. Feels durable as if it will last for a while!

Crush garlic, check. Grind peppercorns check. Love this when I'm making sauces. Even tried with mint for a mojito. Sturdy and easy to clean. Best is it doesn't hold ordor.

I had been wanting long time to owe this item , and now that it was given complementary I love it. You can blend your spices for food, it blends very well, it's made of bamboo and it comes with the pestle. Easy to clean.

I've been using this small bamboo mortar and pestle for a couple of weeks and it does a great job to mince garlic and other herbs. It's compact to store anywhere and it aesthetically pleasing to even leave in the counter. Minus one star because I still prefer a stone mortar and pestle than a wooden one. But that's just personal preference.

I was really looking forward to this mortar and pestle as I've been needing a new one. I received this one and immediately admired how well made it looked but as far as usage, it doesn't really work for me. While it is easy to clean and dries quickly, it holds onto smells, which I hate. I am a big garlic user and was excited to crush garlic and after a day later after cleaning and drying, it still smells of garlic. I prefer a mortar and pestle that doesn't hold onto smells. Other than that, it works as well as a mortar and pestle should. I personally would not buy it for myself but would be open to buying another mortar and pestle from this company made of a different material.
