High quality, easy to put together, love the color and quality of the parts. We got 7 years out of our last soft sided pool and it was worth what we spent. We went with same size and it went up easy! Great investment for a DIY project. We used the tarp it came with plus 1.5” polystyrene foam from Home Depot as the underlayment. Taped together with gorilla tape and a 12x12 patio block under each leg and it's perfect! We hope for many summers of enjoyment!
We love our pool so far - it was a replacement upgrade from our smaller 5 year old one and was fun for this past Summer 👌🏻terrible ladder though and we already had some cake stairs we had inside our old pool so not a big deal
Very easy to set up. The included instructions were clear and helpful, making the process straightforward.
The pool was relatively easy to set up. My husband and I set it up in about an hour and I just kept checking the legs as it filled. We have had it up for about a week and a half and haven't had any issues. Our kids love it!
Perfect size, not too big and not too small for games. Extremely easy setup.
We ordered this pool to entertain a family of 4 kids, varying ages, for the summer. I did my research and the Intex just seemed like the best option, especially the 2 yr warranty that the Ultra Frame comes with. Shipping took a little while. The pool was sent freight, and tracking was awful, but it arrived safely and on a skid, dropped in our driveway. After spending a few days using the 2x4 trick and bringing in a few bags of sand to level some low spots, we laid a tarp down, then the ground cover that the pool comes with and began to unbox. Everything was packaged well, and in it's place. The legs are packed inside the side frame sections for easy shipping. The liner and cover were folded, and the pump and ladder boxed separately. We let the liner warm up for an hour in the sun, and then began to center it up and get it's final location on our plot of land. Making sure to get the drain and return/supply holes facing the correct location. We set the top ring first, which wasn't as hard as some people say, then began to install legs going every other leg until the pool was raised. After leveling the legs we got inside and walked the wrinkles out to the sides. Then about 1" of water we repeated the wrinkle removal. Leveling the legs about every foot of water to make sure they were perpendicular to the ground. They will move a little as it fills, and the first month or so of swimming so keep an eye on this. I was disappointed to find that once the pool was full, despite my constant attention to the ground being level, it in fact was not level, to the tune of about 5", which means this pool is obviously unlevel. The good news is, 3 weeks later, it's holding up well, and the legs are level and holding. This to me was a great testament to the strength of this liner, as it's holding quite a bit more pressure on the "deep end" side of the pool, which happens to be where the main seam was welded. The ladder is somewhat flimsy, but holds up to 350lbs, I can prove that. It's held together with plastic fasteners, something I plan to replace, if I don't replace the ladder itself. The pump is the downside to this pool. It's only holding about 27lbs of sand, and its flow rate, while decent, diminishes after only a few days of running the filter. I found that the filter needs to be run 24/7 to keep the water crystal clear, but after about 3 days the pump requires back-washing due to reduced flow at the return. It's an easy process, I just hate doing it twice a week. It does however perform well despite the back-washing, and it doesn't leak. The digital controls are easy, and everything you need to hook the pool up is in the box. I'd advise getting the Intex pool care kit as well with vacuum, brush, and hoses. You will need to vacuum it at least twice a month to keep your water clear, although I do it weekly. SO, I'm giving Intex a 4-5 based on the strength and ease of setup, anyone can do this I promise, and subtracting 1 point for the flimsy ladder with plastic fittings, and what I feel is an underrated pump for this pool. Would I buy another one, yes, in a minute.
The O ring for the filter was missing, one part of ladder was broken. I called and they are mailing replacement parts. Took aboit 2 hours for my hubs and i to put it together. The cover is too small so will need to purchase a new one. Ladder is rickety so will probably replace that too. For $895 to have a pool we are thrilled!!!
Be sure to add your protection plan before you order! Have contacted Walmart chat, been to the store, called Walmart twice, contacted shipspree and attempted to purchase my own protection plan through Allstate but there is no category for "pool" for coverage so the closest category is "furniture" and well thats just not smart considering the pool comes with a pump. No one will answer the phone at Allstate so there is no one to help you unless you have an open claim and well, since I don't have a claim number - cant get through that way either. We've considered canceling the pool however its already on a truck, we've also considered reordering but Shipspree already increased their price and will not help either So far this is not working out. The original delivery day was Wednesday and now it's later than that. Will update once there is one...
pool is sewn screwed up and is leaking water from several.seams. didn't even get in the pool yet. lost 8 inches of water overnight. I'm so sad my son is so sad. and we already broke down the boxes it came with. 😣 contacted seller. we will.see what happens.
The pool is easy to set up. However the pool pad that's supposed to keep grass from growing up into your pool is junk haven't had my pool for 2 months and grass is growing through it , not very helpful on how to set up and use sand filter, and the pool cover doesn't fit over the pool.
