Jambo 16-inch Motion Lamp (Blue with Yellow/Green Wax, 16 inch)

I was ambivalent about this lamp because it was obviously a return item when I received it--the cord was wrapped willy-nilly around the lamp and there were smudgy fingerprints on the glass. But I decided to give it a shot rather than return it. At first the lava just heated and laid at the bottom so I looked online for some hints. There is a metal coil that heats the lava and if it doesn't lie flat against the base--which gets its heat from the light bulb--it won't get hot enough to do its thing. The hints I read recommended lightly flicking and shifting the glass portion of the lamp with your fingers (don't flick hard!) to get the coil to lie flat. That worked like a charm! Wow, is this lamp beautiful! Excellent colors and beautiful lava action. I turn it on in the morning and off in the evening. A few times the lava solidified in such a way as to move the coil off the bottom. A little bit of VERY gentle shifting did the trick. I love it so much that I am buying another for my husband.

The heat lamp is settling ON the bulb, and gets too Hot.. Everything else is very nice... Request a Replacement...
