without geting into the whole government keeping you in control hype lets bring back our grandparents childhood memories of great tasting foods and relatives that remembered your name on their 90th birthday. we recently switched from veg oils and have fried some tasty foods with lard. i get crispy chicken and only use self rising flour. cant beat this stuff. the tub helps keep and dispose. try for yourself.

My grandma... my family has been using this lard/ Manteca and other people that I know have been using this yard for many many years. It's a staple for us. ignore with that other reviewers said yeah it has a lard/grease/fat(it is what it is) smell, but this is the best ever in pies if you want to put them in your cookies or your biscochitos your tortillas your sopapillas.... maybe not your pie but in your pie crust that's the best stuff ever I just throw it in the fridge it stays nice and cold if I want to use it in something that I need it soft and I just bring it out on the counter for a little bit great stuff

had this large delivered the Lord was all over the bottom so it had leaked out I think the lid had been off and put back on again there was no cover next to the Lord that you could remove which there should be in cases like this happens during transportation

I love this product and purchase it all the time in the store at my local Walmart. I decided to buy it online for a change for convenience. It was packaged %26 fulfilled by Walmart. The packaging was so horrible - it came in a mess! It is summer time. I received 3 gallons of liquid fat in a box! Walmart fulfillment should have enough to properly package this wonderful product - perhaps some tape and bubble filling would have prevented this catastrophic mess. I wont ever order this on line again until i know this is resolved. I saw other customers who voiced the same complaint. I especially feel sorry for this company who let Walmart do the fulfillment on this! They get the complaint - tho Walmart was the cause of the mess. Walmart fulfillment, you can do much better than this!

No seal! Safety concerns! Spilled everywhere inside paper packaging. Hesitated to use at first, but after reading other reviews that it's not sealed from manufacturer, will give it a try because it's too late to return this product. Need to seal the cap at least for safety concerns! Bad packaging!

Poorly packaged in a way too large box with a small amount of shipping paper. The tub had broken open and was all over the paper inside and had soaked into the box.

how is it legal to sell this without a safety seal? there's grease all over the container and the lid just pops right off I thought all food had to be sealed now because of product tampering.

2nd time I purchased this in a 3 week timeframe. It's a melted mess of mush! Impossible to work with.
