you can ask the herd of squirrel's that come to see me because of these nuts! OMG they even have coffee with me and take from my hand. Alway's whole and very few broken. Good brand. Blue Jay's and other bird's eat them to. My night critter's will pick up the rest.
Perfectly packaged. The nuts were clean as a whistle and none were crushed. I really appreciated the peanuts for the animals. I have purchased on Amazon and seller's have put in thin plastic gray bags that the animals got into the peanuts for human consumption and the peanuts were all crushed besides. In this case it was the total opposite and a win win for Walmart and the animals besides. The Birds, Squirrels and other animals will always eat the peanuts in an intact shell. They do eat the shell, but only while it is on the peanut. Otherwise it goes to waste and lands on your deck etc.... So it pays to ship things right and not be crushed. The size of the peanuts were really large and all could be put in Squirrel feeders and other types of feeders I have at my home. Very appreciated.
These in shell peanuts have been a huge hit with the squirrels and birds in my yard! The peanuts seem fresh and clean, and I like that there's very little dust or broken shells in the bag. It keeps the birds busy for a long time and is fun to watch them crack the shells open. Great quality for the price and I'll definitely be buying again.
I use the Kaytee peanuts in the shell, along with white striped sunflower seeds, to feed squirrels and the bigger birds (cardinals, blue jays). Great deterrent for starlings. Their beaks can't crack them open so they stay away from the tray feeder I use. And the feed doesn't get shoved on the ground like the smaller seeds. Wish the price was a bit cheaper for the size of the bag, but I use them sparingly as special treats.
At the first sign of a snow coming, we start feeding in-the-shell peanuts to the squirrels (and those smart-alecky blue jays who can also benefit and come in when the squirrels aren't paying attention). My wife keeps telling me that they have gotten along for centuries without my help. I wonder how she knows that, but I don't ask and keep putting out peanuts. I sit at my desk watching the diners and smile.
These are for Ruthie %26 Rocky my feral raccoons. The peanuts are a bribe to leave my bird feeders alone and they do now. Ruthie came during the day since she had twins and was obviously hungry. Now it's nighttime only. The birds told me way too much work to shell them, they prefer shelled sunflower seeds. Fun to watch the raccoons sit and crack these open.
It's fun to watch the blue jays pick out the largest first. I throw out 3 handfuls a day onto the deck. I have a family of jays (6) that visit each morning to get their share. It's fun to watch them. They will pick through to get the biggest then the bird will then fly off to hide the nut and come back until they are all gone.
These peanuts are for the backyard squirrels and Blue Jays. I've had them before and the backyard wildlife just love them. Kayte is a good brand you can count on.
Sadly I got a huge bag of what was suppose to be squirrel food. It was just 90% dried corn they wouldn't eat. I then ordered this bag of nuts. I now have 3 squirrels that are loving their treat in the front yard. They are a joy to watch.
I feed these to the squirrels and blue Jays. these are the nuts that are rejected from human nuts. many of the shells are empty. even the blue Jays have a difficult time finding an acceptable nut to take.
