Bike came damaged during delivery. Box had a large dent(hole), and bike was not placed horizontally as mentioned on the box itself! When assembling, find multiple bike components damaged, bent to the point I will need to get it repaired (rear bike derailleur parts bent, front disk brake disc is bent) at my local bike shop for $$. Walmart support was awesome though in their speed and response, and satisfactory resolution! Thanks Walmart.com
Bought for my 4' 8" daughter. Easy assembly and good quality for for bike path and residential use. I wouldn't take it on a long overnight trip in unpopulated, rugged terain.
I was worried at the amount of lower star reviews on this bike but I decided to take my chances and am glad I did. I bought it on sale and was just looking for an upgrade for my child who outgrew their smaller bike. The bike arrived in an undamaged box and all of the parts were in a good condition. Assembly was a bit difficult as the instructions left a lot out. The front strut was shipped turned around but you have to remove the top bolt in order to turn it around. The front disc brake needed to be aligned, which wasn't mentioned in the instructions but a quick youtube helped me figure it out. The remainder of the assembly went well and I"m thrilled iwth the results. The bike works great and my child is happy. Its sturdy, rides smoothly, and brakes quickly. I recommend this for an entry level bike.
I thought DIY home assembly would be an issue, but no it was not. It came packed in a way that all complicated assembly was done. Even front brake system, when you install it with couple of screws ,all the way in, was balanced. Only thing, manual front page is misleading has a picture of a boys bike, and I bought the girls. But the content works for both. Sorry but cant rate durability yet, takes more use
He came with the missing pedals in a slightly warped front tire which I'm just going to keep and ride cuz we needed it to start a bike trip we had planned I just went out and purchased new pedals I am going to call customer service to let them know not a huge deal but besides that the bike is seems and appears to be great
So, the bike is beautiful. It came fast in this covid world where you can't find a bike anywhere. BUT!!! I don't think a kids bike or any bike, should be so sharp and dangerous that it can rip your foot open and cause the need for 5 stitches. I simply tried to push up the kickstand to move the bike and it tore my foot open. Gushing blood, open, 5 stitches is what it took to close it. Granted,.I was only wearing flip flops, but who makes their kids wear safety shoes to move a bike. I am so glad it was me to do it and not my daughter. we will try to find a solution, maybe remove the thing. I don't know but that is not safe. I don't know what rating it should actually get. My daughter is afraid of it now
Changing gears is difficult and the chain derailed easily The front wheel is not balanced and is wobbly You get what you pay for Cheap does mean poor quality
too many issues. front disc brake wouldnt fit properly. had to spent $35 to get that fixed. the front gears were bent so were making a noise we didnt like. Stores were not aware when and whether anyone can come and assemble the bike. 3 trips to store and different ppl had different responses. very dissappointing. 4 trip was to return the bike. thank you and never again.
This bike was absolute junk. It arrived in a soaked destroyed box. My daughter wanted this particular bike for Christmas. The handle bar screws were stripped so I could not get them out to put it together. The wheel is warped and the gear shifter when shifting into low gear jams itself into the rear wheel. After taking it apart and putting it back together several times to " Make it work" its junk ... Waste of my time
Bike was delivered pre-assembled and the entire front end was put on backwards. This is our second bike in a week. First bike we bought from store directly but did pickup. Got home with it and it was broken. Highly disappointed in bike buying from Walmart. Second bike is also all scratched straight out of the box. Do not recommend Walmart for bike buying.
