This water filter holder fits my Keurig
K-Express Essentials gen 2 [gen 2 model numbers start with K49 on the back and bottom of the machine]"Bluebell" colored brewer perfectly! It was shipped super fast! It came with 3 charcoal filters. The Keurig pamphlet directions were quite straight forward except they skipped the step where you have to pinch the sides of the bottom of the filter holder to pull it off so you can insert the filter. Soaking the new filter in a bowl or cup of cool tap water for 5 minutes is important to remove air pockets. If you don't soak the filter for 5 minutes it will tend to try to float. Also, make sure to rinse the filter for one minute after the soaking to remove loose charcoal particles before inserting the new filter into the filter holder. The filters are supposed to be good for 2 months or so time. Therefore, the filter won't need replacement for 2 months. I have a well and a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water drinking system. Even so, my Keurig Descale light came on 4 months after purchasing my new Bluebell K-Express Essentials 2nd gen Keurig brewer indicating I was getting calcium build up. I descaled my brewer and purchased this filter holder with filters so I can protect my K-Express Essentials Bluebell 2nd gen brewer so it will last longer and produce a great cup of coffee. I brewed a cup of coffee to see if there was a difference. The filter had no effect on the flow of water, in other words, it didn't decrease the flow of water at all. However, it definitely changed the taste of my water improving it greatly.
