I have a home cottage bakery and I use this brand of flour to get the best quality results for my customers. I wish you had the 12 or 50 pound flour bag sizes. I go through many bags very quickly and it would be nice to make less trips unloading my vehicle.
This is great flour and a great price. I use it for sourdough and other yeasted breads and never get a negative result (at least not due to the flour…). I also really appreciate that KA is non-bromated! As far as Wal-Mart, it’s great that they carry both 5 %26 10lb bags. I’ve not had any issues with bugs or stale flour. Best price for King Arthur that I’ve found, comparable even to Costco.
This is the ONLY FLOUR I WILL USE! Excellent quality, I use it for making my sourdough bread. I feed my starter using the organic unbleached all purpose and make my loaves using the organic unbleached bread flour; it makes a huge difference! I've tried other brands and there is no comparison to this. Bread bakes up with a fantastic crumb to it!
This is my go-to flour for baking. I am a sourdough lady, and this is the bread I use for all my sourdough recipes - weekly making artisan loaves, focaccia, and pizza dough, and everything comes out tasting so good. I love that it is organic, so I can feel good about what I’m feeding my family, without worrying about what sort of chemicals might be involved.
King Arthur Bread Flour is my go-to flour for making sourdough bread. I've used it for countless loaves, and it consistently produces excellent results. The higher protein content helps develop strong gluten, giving the dough great structure and rise. Every bag performs the same, which makes it easier to predict fermentation, shaping, and baking results. Whether I'm making artisan boules, sandwich loaves, or pizza dough, I can rely on this flour to perform well. The 10-pound bag is also a good value. Since I bake sourdough regularly, buying the larger bag is more economical than purchasing smaller packages, and the quality is worth every penny. The flour handles high-hydration doughs beautifully and produces loaves with excellent oven spring and crumb structure. Overall, this is one of the best bread flours I've used and a staple in my pantry. If you bake sourdough, King Arthur Bread Flour is a dependable, high-quality flour that consistently delivers great results.
This bread flour is really great for many of my baked goods. I'd heard people say that they got it at Sam's, and I've been looking for it at my Sam's location, but it was never there. Finally when I was over on the other side of town, I popped into that Sam's location and lo and behold, there it was on the shelf. Hoping it will be in stock at my local Sam's soon!
I've been baking bread since the COVID lockdown, and this quickly became my favorite flour. I notice that it is about $2 cheaper than Whole Foods, which previously had the best price. In addition, there was no shipping charge even though I'm not a Walmart subscriber--my order was big enough ($35) to get free shipping. Great flour. Surprising find.
King Arthur’s all purpose flour. Glad Walmart carries in a variety of sizes and types including gluten free. I spend extra for quality flour that has not been bleached or had a bunch of preservatives added and is made in USA from start to finish. Works in baking and making roux. My other quality flour is Bobs Red-mill. My only concern is this purchase was leaky bag. Glad they put it in a plastic bag.
Advertised in the pictures the ingredients are 2 types of flour, however after using pick up to receive the package, it is listed as 1 type flour and a highly processed enzyme (after researching). This is not good for those of us who are trying to avoid all things highly processed and those items with additives.
The person gathering my order at Sonora, California gave me a 10 pound bag of flour with a bag on top. I thought the bag was to stop the little leak of flower. By the time I got home, I took the bag off and the whole bag of flour was open all the way open. Who does that?!?
