I was skeptical at first but everything that I have read and heard from others is Kirkland extra virgin olive oil organic is true olive oil. I have had my fair share of around the bins with olive oil and price is a factor. I had to try it since I am not a member of Costco I had to go through a third party. I found a 2 l bottle of Kirkland organic extra virgin olive oil for $30. it was a cold day on the day that it arrived and so when I opened up the package it was cloudy and thick. I know about the cloudy test in the refrigerator but I didn't know about the thickness test. so after spending time online and looking up making sure that the olive oil that I received was still good cuz the expiration date wasn't until 2027, I was rest assured that the olive oil that I received was true organic extra virgin olive oil. my next step was to give it the taste test, I filled up a 2 oz shot glass and down the hatch it went. at first it was smooth and I could actually taste the olives it was incredibly delicious best olive oil I have ever had and then the peppery burn set in it took about 10 to 15 seconds. I've tried olive oil from Greece, Spain and Italy one shot glass at a time. the Kirkland brand of extra virgin organic olive oil stands up it can compete with the best of them. I only wish it was cheaper.
I have researched many olive oil brands. To me this has a great review. The only drawback it is in a plastic bottle
Best mid-level 100% REAL EVOO for the money...
Excellent EVOO. Much better quality than most popular store brands
satiate appetite; aides in lowering Bp; for inflammation
It's a good product. Only I wish it would come in a glass bottle rather than plastic.
Although this brand is superior to a lot of the brands, I was very disappointed that it was shipped in a plastic bottle rather than glass. Glass is actually so much better for holding all of this type.
I was taught two ways to determine whether Extra Virgin Olive Oil is Real, or if it is a Blend of various oils Masquerading as Genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil. First of all, Genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil. will cause you to feel a slight burning at the back of your mouth when you drink it. Secondly, you can pour a small amount of it into a glass, and then leave that glass in the Refrigerator for 24 hours to see if it Solidifies. If it does Solidify, then is not Genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Kirkland Brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil. used to Pass both of these Tests. However, the latest bottle of Kirkland, which I purchased at Walmart, FAILED BOTH OF THESE TESTS !
3/5 of the delivery of this order was never made I spoke to a person at Walmart about it and got nowhere There will be no more orders to your company This is the end of my efforts over the last week on this simple order.
Not the real product it came in plastic so make sure you get the product that you are looking for because you can't return this product
