Love it ! Didn’t have to wait long to receive it ! Love Walmart!
Best price.
This works ok. Kinda just sticks everything to the side of the bowl and alway leaves some un-mixed stuff at the bottom of the bowl. You will need to use a spatula multiple times to fully mix anything. But, the biggest issue for me is that the paint has started to come off after a couple years and I'm sure I have unknowingly consumed some of it. It would be so much better if there was a stainless version of this paddle to avoid this problem.
Second time I used this paddle to mix soft batter it broke! I'm past the one-year warranty, even though this paddle is brand new (see photo). Beyond frustrated!
Why does paint keep chipping off this flex beater? This occurs with normal use. I handle the attachments very gently and always hand wash them. It’s not safe to have paint chips mixed in with batter.
We have the common problem every one else has. The paint is chipping on the beater. We also have the 6 quart mixer and that beater is stainless steel on one side and we’ve had no problems with that one. Why can’t you make this one the same way? We’d be happy to pay a little more for a product that you’re not afraid to use.
Paint chipping off beater ...have thrown batches of cake away....trying to find a non coated stainless steel one
What is Kitchen Aid thinking with these poor quality coatings!? This is infuriating. My flex edge beater’s coating chipped off the very first time I used it…In fact, I wasn’t even beating anything, I was adjusting the beater bowl clearance using the “dime method” which was suggested to me by one of their phone reps. Sure, she offered a replacement which was nice, but the same thing will happen with use, as I see from other reviews. So replacing it doesn’t solve the true problem here. Now, I am concerned about this coating leeching into my foods. Kitchen Aid, we demand better products that we can feel safe using with our foods and feeding our families.
I have used this beater probably 20 or 30 times. Today while making chocolate chip cookies, I suddenly started hearing a sound like glass or something in the bowl. I wasn’t wearing any jewelry.. nothing that could have accidentally fallen into the batter...I didn’t want to add in the chocolate chips until I knew nothing was in the batter, so I smashed through the batter 3 times transferring it from one bowl to another to make sure there were no foreign objects in my dough. I have over-handled my cookie dough and expect my cookies will now be TOUGH! It’s a double batch... adding the chips and will see if they are ruined.. ANGRY
Same complaint as one of the other reviewers. The paint is chipping off and I've only used it four times! Really hoping this isn't toxic because I didn't throw out the cookies I made. Also hoping that there's a warranty on it I still have the receipt, but I certainly don't want the same item. sorry I tried to upload a photo but the website wouldn't take it.
