Klutz - Lego Chain Reactions

My 6 1/2 yr old grandson loves to build things, especially with legos. The book provided, gave so many ideas to create multiple chain reactions. Promotes child's creativity.

I bought this as a gift that was on a wish list. My hope is that the kid likes it. I think the concept is fun and interesting for anyone who likes chain reaction elements (I mean who doesn't!). I think this will require more lego pieces but anything to stimulate the mind without a screen is a win in my book.

My grandson wanted this Lego book over any toy or book. He's happy. I'm happy. He had it once and lost it. Replacing a copy was so easy ordering online with Walmart

I bought Klutz Lego Chain Reactions for my 7 year old son who likes making domino runs and is interested in Rube Goldberg machines. He is really enjoying the projects and information in the book. He has needed some help from me, but can do quite a bit on his own. Patience and accurate following of directions is needed. The kit includes everything you need to make the first chain reaction machine, but other projects will need additional bricks and is assuming you have a decent collection. I like that this gives another way to use the large Lego Classic set we have, but we did have a bit of trouble finding some 2X8 pieces that were needed and had to come up with different solutions. Also, since some of the less common parts that are included are used in many of the projects, we will end up having to take apart machines to build new ones. It would have been nice to be able to build all the machines at once, but it does allow for combining of some of the projects to create longer chain reactions. All in all, I am very happy with this set and will consider buying it again as a gift. It is a good STEM toy for encouraging science and engineering skills.

High quality. Probably best for an older child (8 Years is a bit young).

This looks like a fun thing, which it may be for some. I was disappointed The pictures are not easy to follow, even for an adult. Maybe if you are a Lego enthusiast it makes more sense. My grandchild is 8, so maybe in a few months it will hold her attention better and she could see more possibilities with it.

What a waste. it's a cool idea if they had all the pieces to build. You can build maybe a few things. Everything else that you can build is sold separately.
