This is worth every penny. I would recommend this for any car. The horsepower increase is quite noticeable as well.
Don't listen to my previous review. Filter fit right in once realizing the pleats don't face the same way as the OEM filter. Grabbed some food and rotated the filter 90 degrees and wham, blam chicken & spam, she fit right in. Don't recommend changing on an empty stomach.
Yes, the filter is larger than a cheap, paper filter. No, you do not need to *bend* anything. You need to open the filter housing (airbox) appropriately which requires not much more effort (GASP! More WORK! With TOOLS!!!). Several ways to do this. Easiest is loosening the circle clamp downstream of the airbox. This provides enough play in the joint to open the airbox top ~2.5". Also possible to loosen/remove the retention bolt holding the entire airbox assy to the firewall. Don't seek quality parts if you haven't the capacity to use them properly. Don't berate a quality part out of stupidity and/or immaturity. Mind you, one cannot be stupid without being intelligent while one can be immature and quite aged.
My son and I could tell the increase in the engines throttle response, and an increase in power. It is not huge as one would expect with just an air filter change from OEM, but it does have a noticeable improvement in power. I'm guessing but I estimate maybe 5 Hp increase.
This air filter improves my gas mileage and is cleanable! Will last forever!
I don't like how it was packaged and I didn't like how the boxes sticker was ripped.
Filter doesn't drop right in like OEM filter. Edges need to be trimmed or else take your filter box out and install filter. Not simple at all!
I hear great things about k&n. But this filter is not one of their great achievements. It's let in an insane amount of dust into my engine. I've included an image of the inside of the air box where the air flows out of the filter and into the engine. It's full of dust. Had to use simple green to get the greasy dust out and the revealed the extent of the dust. This product is good for one thing only and that's track days which nobody does exclusively in this car except for a handful of people I know and they wouldn't touch this filter with a long stick.
Filter does not fit properly. Like others have said, the filter is too big and doesn't fit unless it is forced in and this will bend the pleats and leave a gap where unfiltered air can get into engine.
As stated in the headline, it does not fit. Slightly too big to latch. Air filter is the problem as other air filters fit as described.
