K'NEX Dragon's Revenge Roller Coaster Construction Set, 578 Parts, Ages 9 and up

The K'NEX Dragon's Revenge Thrill Coaster has just under 600 parts and it took some time to build it. My 11 year old son likes buildng these and although its not recommended for smaller kids my 6 year old also had a great time helped. My boys also has other K'NEX set and they all can be connect to one another so they are able to build all kind of things with there wild imagination. It has a working motorized chain lift that takes two AA batteries that are not included. The kids are enjoying this every time it is on and with a light up car it also looks amazing in the dark. I think he finally has it setup how he likes because its been a few days now and he has not took it apart or added more pieces to it.

My son is nine and he tends to get easily discouraged if something is too hard for him. This was pretty easy enough to keep him interested but just challanging enough to make the fun of building it last a few hours. (Hey a few hours of time to my self.

I have owned several k nex building sets over the years. I built them myself as a child, and it's fun now that I am a parent to build again, but this time with my children. This dragon roller coaster set was very large and I was very excited to try it out! I would say it took around 6 hours to build it, but I ddI it off and on over the course of a few days (busy working mother) the end result was definitely worth it though! My kids absolutely LOVE it! They play with it for endless hours so that means endless hours of exploring and no fighting! The car flashes when it is going on the track- which is an added Bonus for my kids because they love seeing it light up! The price is reasonable for the quality of the set. There was a minor issue at first with the black track being lose that launches the car, but after tightening, it worked just fine and no longer gets caught up. The dragon flapping his wings at the top of the set is just icing on the cake!! My young boys (ages 4 and 8) absolutely love it and think it's the coolest toy ever. It was moderately difficult to put together, but mostly just time consuming— honestly though, that's most of the fun is building! Great product!

I got this as a reviewer for Wal-Mart. My little one and I played with this one afternoon and he has gone back to it several times. It keeps him busy. Figuring it out was easier because I was there to help, he would have had to spend significantly more time if I hadn't been helping.

I gave this to my nephew for his birthday and he and my daughter built it together. They both had so much fun with it. It's a really neat toy. He loves to build things like this, he's very talented with building models. This was fun for him and his little brothers to play with. The track is impressive.

Instructions for building are appropriate for any one 6 and up. 1st time building definitely kept my 6 year old son entertained for pretty good 2-3 hours. He loves to dismantle and rebuild it. But he takes only about 15-20 minutes to build it fully now after 2 weeks. Great toy for brain exercising and hand control for little munchkins who are into building toys.

After a few days off and on the kids are still trying to get it fully assembled and running. Its been a challenge for sure, but in a good way. Will end up needing some help with it I think, but they have not lost their enthusiasm or excitment for it. It does have ALOT of small parts and will require some time and patience. It has really been helping my boys (8 and 10) work together as a team which is a BIG win in my book!! I love the fact that they are using their hands and their minds. It is nice to see a toy that is challenging them at this level and they haven't given up.  Some toys go together too fast with ZERO challenge, then wind up in the closet collecting dust. That is not the case with this one. Would definately recommend for kids who enjoy building and seeing how things work mechanically. A++

My 13 and 11 year old kids put this together in less than 2 hours. It was a nice challenge for them to work together and to see the final product put together and working. The roller coaster car, powered by a motor turns and flips to escape the moving dragon. The coaster comes with button cell batteries to make the car light up, but make sure you also have some AA batteries for the motor. Overall, I am very happy with this. I love that my kids were excited to assemble this and no video games in sight!

As always item came packed secure. This item contains 578 intricate pieces. The instruction book is laid out with great pictures and detail. It is best to separate all like pieces first, be sure to follow the directions closely. It took us quite some time to assemble, but once together it is very enjoyable. The car comes with batteries already installed and lights up as it climbs the tracks, the dragon flaps it wings up and down. You will need an additional 2 double A batteries for the motorized track. My grandson is 10 years old and is having fun exploring this adventure with his friends. Item is not recommended for children under 3 as some of the parts are very small. This Knex dragon revenge thrill coaster was a hit. I have a 10 yr old son and he loves doing this kinda stuff. It did take a while to get together but the instructions where pretty well self explanatory. The graphits are awesome also. Theres a light up care that requires 2 as batteries that arent included but it works like a charm. Pieces are easily put together but a bit of a struggle to get apart. It has over 11 feet of track so your only limited to your imagination. The dragon actually has wings that are attached to each aide ro give it that 3d affect. Pretty aweosme and I highly recommend!!
