Just right

Henrietta April 6, 2026

Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear Gloss Spray gives just the right amount of shine and shimmer. The 11 oz. cans last a long time for many paintings (or projects). The cost has gotten higher but it is still reasonable. I am a canvas artist and this is my go-to staple.

The Krylon Workable Fixative has always work really well for the Charcoal drawings I do. I have never had any issues. Always glad to see that they don't spatter or drip.

Krylon Satin Finish is what I use if I am finishing up a charcoal drawing on paper. I does a really good job, and is fast drying.

Adhered to my best expectations

JONATHAN November 18, 2023

Great temporary adhesive when repositioning or releasing is necessary. Used to hold stencils in place for spraying and dabbing paints. Very dependable and surprisingly releasable when using with finely detailed stencils.

Krylon Crystal Clear Spray works great. Does what its suppost to do. It worked on sealing my paint job on my shwinn bike, after painting it with Krylon Spray paint. Bike is looking good.

Silver Bell May 27, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use triple thick crystal clear glaze spray on my walking sticks and canes that I make. I'm really happy with the crystal clear glass. Like finish, I get on my final products.

Works great for me.

I use Crystal Clear on acrylic paintings on gessoed wood panels. It works great for me! Follow the instructions. I prefer a first light coat and add other coats slowly as the coats dry to get the look I want. Like your paintings... don't rush things, you get a better result.

Let it dry.....for a week!

Duke March 14, 2019

I use krylon gloss coat on some model cars I build. Wonderful stuff....however. If you plan to sand or remove orangepeel or other blemish, LET IT DRY FOR A FEW DAYS AS MUCH AS A WEEK! Before that you chance leaving fingerprints while handling the dry piece you are working on, or texture from tape imprinting itself on the clearcoat if you were masking...the least of your concerns. You'll find what appear to be minute threads that appear to have been on the paint before clearing. no. it is the clear literally balling up under friction of your polishing cloth's grit, the color of the 'hairs' being that of your sandpaper.. Wet sanding doesn't help much. I have learned this from experience. So, if you are going to polish sand, wait. A week or so is sufficient in my experience(s). I have cursed, repainted, and re cleared enough to know :). I keep buying it. It works if you work WITH it.

Tacky product, why?

MVee September 20, 2016

I am a professional artist, and have been using the Krylon Crystal Clear coating on my art work for over 40 years. My art is painted beach stones, acrylic paint, very detailed animal paintings, I spend about 30 hours on each piece. These objects are made to be hand-held. I have collectors all over the world. The Crystal Clear spray has always been my final coat on my paintings. The past few years I have noticed that the spray never fully dries, remains a bit tacky to the touch. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, or that the can of spray was defective, but after purchasing many new cans of spray and then reading these reviews, I see that there is something wrong with this product. I am now on the search for a new clear coat for my art work. I am at a loss, this was my go to product for years, and my production is at a stand-still.
