I used this product on black cast iron crown hooks for our granddaughters to be able to hang their dress-up clothes on and the coverage was better than I could've hoped for. Like with any spray paint, you must do a few coats to get optimal coverage, but the coverage was complete. I was afraid that the glitter would get all over after the paint was dry but it doesn't. The can is a little small for the price you pay but you will not find a better glitter spray for any amount of money.
This stuff is so awesome! Make sure to shake well and continue to agitate during use. Gorgeous finish. I chose to apply clear coat as some of the glitter does rub off when dry. Also works best when a matching solid color is applied as a base coat.
I will be posting this review for all the Glitter Blast paint in hopes of helping avoid problems with clogging. This is the best spray glitter available. I have tried everything out there in my home crafting. The Rustoleum is cheaper by volume, but has much more liquid and is slower to dry. The Krylon is easily clogged- you MUST use a few rules to ket it to work. a. Temp- it works much better warm- at least the can must be warm and what you are painting must be warm- above 60 is best. b. Shake it- AT LEAST A FULL MINUTE UPSIDE DOWN (not a 10 second obligatory shake) c. Flip it- you MUST turn it upside down when done and spray it until no paint comes out- clear that nozzle. Even then it can clog- but I haven't found anything better. Lay down light coats letting it dry between (a hairdryer is great, but 15 minutes is good in warm weather) and you'll be rewarded with a nice finish. The best gloss I have found is the Krylon FUSION clear gloss. It provides a bright finish and helps keep the glitter on the item and off your hands.
I just refinished a guitar with Glitter Blast and it worked great! I used two full cans with absolutely zero problems and the results were fantasic. I gave the cans a soak in warm water (don't get water into the spray nozzle) for about 30 minutes before spraying to thin out the paint inside and shook the cans well for about a full minute or two. Make sure to spray your project with a similar color base coat before hand. Follow these steps and your glitter blast experience should go perfectly smooth! Thanks Krylon!
After spraying this a few times the sprayer started to leak clear stuff, but it still cover the item I was spraying
Unfortunately the only product available for look we wanted. Several cans had no glitter in them (Sticky goo only). The tip clogs extremely easy. Several cans clogged about half full and would not dispense any more product. Very expensive for the amount you get...$6.00 for 5 ounces. Overall spent about a third more than I should have had to due to the above mentioned issues.
I purchased 6 cans of glitter blast in gold. 3 cans worked. Same problem as others have stated. Just stopped working or plain clear spray came out despite shaking. Fir the price of this product, I am very dissatisfied that half of them didn't work. The 3 that did work were beautiful, however.
This was my first time using gold glitter blast paint, and I was painting a cupcake stand for my wedding. I am very familiar with spray paint and how to use it, and I was very unhappy with the outcome with this particular product. First off, the can kept malfunctioning and would not quit spraying after I removed my finger from the spray button so paint went everywhere and was wasted. But before that issue, I shook the can for 2 minutes as stated on the can and stood back from my cupcake stand as instructed. Still, the paint came out so watery and runny that it just dripped and caused a mess. I only got about 10 good sprays out of the bottle for the $9 I paid for it. I ran out halfway through my project so I had to go and get more. I didn't want to purchase a new can because I was so disappointed in the first one, but I had to in order to finish my project. Little did I know that the second can wouldn't even be enough. Once again, the paint was like water and wasn't even enough to do the other half of my cupcake stand. So at this point I had paid more for the paint than I had for the cupcake stand I was painting and still didn't have enough! It was ridiculous, and I ended up just trashing the cupcake stand and buying a new one because I was not about to purchase another can of Krylon Glitter Blast. Do not use it!
bought my first can and I was spraying letters for a bridal shower. it got me through the front of one letter and only half of the front of the second letter, then it stopped spraying and just started to sprits out clear liquid. so I returned it and got a second can and it did the same thing. just emailed customer service so we will see what they say
what! this is a really awesome color but as soon as I started spraying it it went everywhere and didn't stop spraying until it literally ran out ;(
