Kryptonite Level 5 14 mm U-Lock Bicycle Lock with Looped Bike Security Cable

If you have a bicycle or a adult tricycle i suggest buying 3 of these for ultra security and if you have a trailer for the bicycle/tricycle i would ger two more for it as well. These are sturdy great. locks and the keys are not the flimsy thin metal keys that tend to bend and break either.

We had our first long distance biking trip coming up and realized we did not have a lock. We purchased the Kryptonite lock and were pleasantly surprised by how heavy duty it felt. The quality of the materials appears to be quite high. I also like the ease of use, the inclusion of a decent size chain, and the fact that the system for the key hole allows you to close it so dirt and mud don't get in.

I bought 2 of these lock sets for my electric tricycle . I live in a very busy downtown city area, where they also rent electric bicycles so I don't want to take the chance of having mine stolen. The cable is very sturdy and protected.. I feel like this security of these locks is pretty good considering some of the others I've seen.. I do put part of the cable through my tire and the frame on the back and then the second one through the tire in the frame on the front. This way it's also wrapped around the battery frame to protect it as well, but I do take my battery out and bring it with me. I don't trust anyone. Lol hence two locks. Lol

I LOVE this U Lock for my bike! It is SUCH a great security bar for my Expensive Ebyyco Ebike. With this attached to the frame, and the cables running through the tires, I don't have to worry AT ALL. I also got a Super thick bike cover from Walmart as well and it works WONDERFULLY with it covering up the fact this heavy, thick, lock is on it. Plus I tried using a set of keys from my other Kryptonite U Lock on this new one, and it doesn't unlock it even though the keys look the same. I love it! If you're wanting to make sure your bike is secure, this is the way to go!!! Sorry i forgot to take photos but it looks exactly as shown! A lot bigger than u think!

The bike lock is a nice heavy weighted lock that secures my bike when I am out and about. I trust that it will secure it in place for day trips. I do not trust any lock overnight, as none of them secure the entire bike. Therefore parts can be taken anywhere at anytime.

I did my typical deep dive research before making a choice. This is the second lock system from this company. Obviously I liked the disc brake lock (use it always on my Royal Enfield INT 650 motorcycle) and I bought a peddle bike. We're in an apartment now, I feel safe and we have a security system for the apartment, but I want to keep my new (well used) bike. I like that the U lock will secure the frame and rear tire to the rack, then the cable for the front tire. The price is really good, same company, similar U bolt is easily $100. more. Just get it, you'll be happy and rest easier.

If properly used, no one is stealing your bike. I can tell some people had tried cutting at it to try and take my bike, but barely put a scratch on it

It's a really solid lock for its price range and the cable is decent that comes with it just make sure you always lock your bike to something cuz they'll just throw in the back of a truck and drill it outer grind it at home

It's a tough lock! I use it to lock the tire on my ebike to the frame and it works perfectly. It only got 3 stars because sometimes the key doesn't like to turn when I am putting it on the bike but a little finagling and it has worked every time.

it doesn't include a seat or saddle bar clamp to secure the seat. there is no where to safely store it on your bike while riding without getting very creative. depending on what size bike you have the cable may. be too short to secure all the wheels. and of course as usual there's no security for the gears or sprockets if you lock it up to chill in the park which I don't know of any lock or bike security specialist company that has solved that issue. over all it would be difficult to break the lock just measure to ensure you can ride safely with it hanging from somewhere on your bike.
