To cool for hot molten lava:)
Far-out man, what a hip lava lite this one is. Takes me back to 1968 when life was a blast and love was everywhere. Groovy red and yellow glass cast an eye candy light on the walls. If you live in an eco-friendly state like me, and you buy this lite, the bulb was omitted. Bummer. I was able to purchase the 25 watt S11 lava lite bulb here at Walmart.

Nice lamp
Beautiful lamp! Lots of action but if you want it to warm faster buy a different bulb. I use a R39 E17 closed face bulb. Much faster warmup than the little ones provided!

3rd one I've ordered in two weeks light burned out within 5m. I believe so to poor handling in shipping because the aluminum stand on all three were Bent, I had to repair them
