When it comes to my 3 young boys, I am always seeking educational toys that are entertaining and educating. I have always loved Learning Resource products as they are well made with a fun skill behind. This particular set (Dino Time mathlink cubes)I got for my middle son who is about to be 5 years old. He is a little advanced and loves to learn. He and his older brother (who is 7) absolutely loved doing these. I loved to see how the older son would work with him to teach him how to complete certain cards or read instructions for him. I love the different color cubes, which helps with visualization. Each card has double sides with a variety of activities. One of the most favorite activities to do with my boys is work on these math activity sets. I would highly recommend this as a surprise gift for a child who is eager to learn, loves to have fun and loves math!! I like the fact that this is very educational while still maintaining the fun component to it as math could get boring quickly for most of us, this keeps my kids engaged while learning something new and fine tuning those math skills. Excellent quality product.
My boys absolutely love this Learning Resources Mathlink Cubes Activity Set. This set is called Dino Time, where they can learn while creating dinosaurs. This is a Kindergarten Math Activity Set, for ages 5+. My boys are ages 5&7, they were diagnosed with Autism, and have learning delays. They both really enjoy learning and playing with this set. It has helped a lot just in a few days! Some of the cards show you number codes on how to build a dinosaur. Others show a 3D building of dinosaurs, that they can create. Plus, they can build fossils too! A few other learning activities they can do with this set is critical thinking, paleozoic puzzles, estimation, adding, subtracting, counting, and much more! This has 30 different math activities, which definitely keeps them busy! There are 115 pieces included in this set. The blocks are very easy to use, and snap into place perfectly. They have little shapes on the sides which was really neat too. Also, if you have any other MathLink Cubes, they will work with this set too! Overall, this is an excellent learning set! Not only can they learn math. But, they can learn fine motor skills as they build the sets, and boost their critical learning skills with the puzzles. There is also an activity guide included which is very helpful as well. If you have little ones that love dinosaurs, and have a hard time sitting still to learn, I highly recommend this set!
Children see how numbers really work as they build their own Mathlink cubes in dinosaur mode! Children can master the math skills of counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing through hands on discovery and play. These Mathlink cubes are the friendly and fun pieces! Theres 100 included MathLink Cubes in 10 dino-themed colors! These Linking Cubes snap together with an easy "click" and apart with a soft “pop”, making them an ideal fine motor, construction and creative activity for ages 5+! Made with thick plastic, these Linking Cubes contain more raw material than some other connecting cubes on the market. This makes them more durable plus there are no sharp edges. The cubes are larger than some other construction cubes so they are easier for small hands to manipulate! Watch as your youngster learns the art of pattern making or how to apply colors to build their own 3D creations.
These are like the other math blocks, but dinosaur themed to keep your dino loving children interested. Learning resources has always had quality and this is no exception. I may be bias though because my child also loves the number blocks show. so this was super well received.
We received Educational Insights MathLink® Cubes Kindergarten Math Activity Set: Dino Time! For free to try from bzzagent and my 5 year old kindergartener really done well with the counting blocks. Having something to physically hold and count made it more fun to do math and the graphics of the dinosaurs was very cool!
We love the Educational Insights MathLink® Cubes. We specifically have the Kindergarten Dino set, but this product is so versatile it can be used with or without the included dino math cards. I love that it is engaging, builds fine motor skills, teaches through hands on play and durable. The MathLink cubes were always a favorite activity of mine when I was in school - I love that my children now have the opportunity to learn through explorative play with the same cubes! Highly recommend
This is a great game for ages 4, 5 and 6 probably. It says until age 7 but by then they may have outgrown it. It just depends if they are really into math. If math is kind of their least favorite subject and they are stronger in another subject then they may use it at later ages. I think it's essential for beginning math to have something like this because it's visual and hands on learning. Plus the dino's make it fun. If math isn't the child's favorite subject then this will get them interested for sure. The cards are sturdy and glossed which make them easy to keep clean or wipe clean. It's a perfect gift for any child wanting to learn math in a fun way.
My 5 year old son really liked playing with these blocks, he enjoyed trying to make dinosaurs with them and trying out the math activities. It's really nice to see him engaging with the set and not getting frustrated with blocks that don't stay connected, these ones connect really well. He was even excited to play with them again the next day and almost every day after getting them. We also enjoy the wide variety of colors provided as well. I will recommend them to friends and family with small children.
The Learning Resources MathLink Cubes Kindergarten Math Activity Set Dino Time has one hundred and fifteen pieces. There are thirty math activities inside the box. The entire set is linked to dinosaurs so called Dino Time. The different activities will develop not only math skills but also critical thinking so it helps my grandchildren learn to figure out steps to accomplish the task and know they “did it”. In school it is proven how important STEM skills are. These age appropriate, fun ways to learn promote STEM continually. My grandson especially has fun using the 10 different colored 100 cubes. He builds things and is catching on to using them with the fifteen double sided write and wipe activity cards. These cards have all kinds of tasks for little fingers and hands to stay busy learning. He loves all the various kinds and colors of dinosaurs. He gets his collection of plastic dinosaurs out and we use them in the activities with the learning cards and colored cubes. He isn't five yet but still seems to enjoy learning with this type of teaching. An activity guide is included. The set is recommended for children 5+, though as I said my younger grandson is learning with it. It's specifically geared to STEM learning at the K+ level. The box warns of small pieces being a choking hazard for children under 3. We are enjoying the set and I do recommend it.
This is for 5 to 7 years in age. My son is only four. He will be five in January. He's preschool age so, This comes in handy to do some activities to prepare him. Counting... There's one, that says who's the tallest? The number is by the dinosaur and you take the cubes and you connect that many cubes together to determine who's the tallest and you can line them up and compare them. This is quite simple. There are 10 frames counting by tens, addition, subtraction, estimation, graph and compare etc. I like that you can actually build dinosaurs with the cubes! The fact that they can build, play and learn the same time! It comes with 100 cubes, 10 colors. There's 15 double-sided activity cards, the fact that they're double-sided is pretty cool. I love that it's dinosaurs it's geared towards something he takes an interest in.
