My kids ages 5, 7 and 8 spend hours on these things. They copy the pictures, make their own pictures, and build creations vertically/3D as well. The shapes are plastic and about 1/4" thick or so, so they can stand upright. Many uses for these shapes, and we love them for our homeschool.

Got this for my son that loves playing Legos and other stem toys. He loves making puzzles on regular basis. He started playing with it as soon as it arrived. This pattern block teaches him to notice patterns in shapes and also use the shapes to make different patterns. He plays with it regularly and hopefully it improves his critical thinking. Defineyly a good item for kids to use on regular basis.

These learning blocks are more than just fun for kids, they are able to learn in so many different ways. They can figure out which block goes into the empty space on the design card, but they can also learn shapes, colors, patterns, counting and more! I like that many of the cards a very simple so a younger child can do them. It is fairly easy to figure out what shape goes where due to the outline on the card. I also think it's great that some of the cards are more difficult. There are no lines to help figure out which shapes go where, so you really have to work hard to figure the more difficult ones out. The blocks are durable, but not heavy so little hands can pick them up easily. This is a really fun toy for both kids and adults!

My kids really love making patterns with this. It kept them entertained for hours and I got into it as well. It's a great way to get their imagination going as well as teaching them their shapes and colors. I would get them to count how many blue pieces, then red and so on. It's great for them to play with on their own and also nice to play with them. We will definitely be trying out other activities from Learning Resources!!

We love this set. My kids of all ages have played with this set multiple times. We have incorporated the set into our homeschooling and we use it daily. They love making shapes and adding on to their siblings shape. So many options for things to do. It also comes with cards so you can learn the basics.

Love this set for my kids, very educational and helps with their critical thinking skills. I gave this to my 4-year-old but my 6-year-old also loves to play with it. They both can do the puzzles simultaneously since it came with 124 pattern blocks. They are well made and not flimsy, but a bit small so be careful around younger toddlers. There are 20 double sided cards with 40 designs, which starts from easy to more challenging patterns. The ones with shapes drawn in are too easy for my 6-year-old so she likes the ones with just the outline. Great sets to get your kids learning their shapes and also helps them to see what bigger shapes they can make when combining smaller shapes together.

My son loves to build. I like encouraging him go be creative. He has so much fun building and designing new things with these blocks. It's great for teaching shapes and how putting them together can create new shapes. It's a great educational tool that doesn't seem educational. It allows them to have fun with learning while playing.

This is a great indoor activity to keep my 3 year old busy on days we can't get outside. She likes trying to find all the shapes and seeing it become a pretty picture. I feel as if it has really helped her to learn her shapes better. It is a great learning tool and is fun for me to help her do this activity. Overall, anything that keeps my toddler busy is a win in my book!
