It was easy to build and comes with lots of accessories. My kids were excited to build and play with this LEGO set. It would make a great birthday or holiday present for LEGO lovers.

I love how this incorporates her love of both of those things. The details in the boat are well thought out and include what you'd normally see in one. I was afraid the sails would be brittle plastic, but they are not and bend as needed without feeling like they could break.

It comes with detailed instructions to help but this would definitely be a good set for a child that has put together larger Lego sets before.

In her words "it's hard, but it's easy" .. which I believe translates to .. it takes time to build, but has good instructions to follow. The actual boat (after building) is bigger than I expected and has a lot of detail .. including furniture and decor inside the boat like a real living space. I like that it comes with 3 characters, so even if this is your only Lego set you can still have imaginative play.

It takes her all week if not more and she's busy having fun in her free time! This is challenging yet only just enough so she can stay interested. I was worried as she gets frustrated very easy and this has not done that to her. She's enjoyed the images and the pieces so she's completely happy!

Once it was done building he knew it was his turn to play with it. We wish it can float on water! I am keeping some small pieces in a bag to save until he is old enough to be safe with them. He does not even know who lego Friends are, but he is having so much fun with this!
