Loved building this , its a shame the pistons get hidden, but I know they work. The only part I did not like was the seat and the finish on the tank. It looks good though as a finished product. Great to see a screen as most technics displays dont have windscreens, which I believe is a huge flaw

I am a 72 year old woman,and I did'nt think that I would be able to do this one as I am going a bit gaga.It did my brain in a bit but it was challenging.I did find some of the parts awkward to put together,but it is a lovely model,I did'nt chance putting it on the stand incase it fell off as it is rather large.

This is without doubt a great but challenging build and not for a first time builder in my opinion. This is a big kit but some aspects are incredibly fiddly - however stick with it, be patient as the end result is fantastic! The detail is very high and one can only imagine what the real bike is like - a true monster I'm sure! If I am being critical of this kit it is the amount of stickers/decals that need to be applied - some of which are across many individual pieces (like the fairing/bodywork) and to get these all to line up across all the pieces is a challenge so take your time there as the end result is critical. Yes the gearbox is not true to form as others have mentioned (real life bikes are usually one down and five/six up) but hey this is a model and the complexity of doing this probably outweighs the real requirement. I can't wait to see what big bike will be next - perhaps the Honda Fireblade or another Ducati - fingers crossed for something soon.

Wow , this is a big kit , which will take me a little while to finish, but instructions are great , parts are quality, yep , I'm going to enjoy building this

This was my first jump into Technic as I've limited my self to LEGO Star Wars set (lots) I ride motorcycles so was invested in the build. In places it was not clear where certain items connected and I think some instructions could be a lot clearer. The Ducati V4S will be my next purchase (after the upcoming Star Wars UCS release)

It's a really satisfying build and almost perfect when done. I've already customized any exposed studs, which is a love/hate I guess depending on what you aesthetically prefer. I haven't been able to convince myself to buy Technic “cars” because I don't like how the exteriors look vs brick built- but these bikes are amazing. I built the Ducati and this one was an instabuy after that. Brutally brain challenging at times with the gearbox and engine but makes it sooooo worth the cost for the building process :)

I've been a Lego fan for 30+ years and this is so far one of the most beautiful models I have ever built! It's an amazing piece of art, every detail has been thought, and it's not too difficult to build despite the complexity of the model. The engine was for me the most fun to build. The only downside would be the stickers... 2 full sheets of stickers... Very annoying... But regardless, it's a must have for all motorcycle/BMW fans!

The building illustrations were inadequate for a project as complex as this. Ambiguous instructions and many missing pieces spoiled the building experience and rendered the project incomplete A potential beautiful piece for ruined by in-Lego like flaws
