I can see through my glasses

drgoodie April 13, 2014

My water glasses were totally clouded and smudged and dirty looking. I hand washed them and that did not help. I soaked them in vinegar and that did not help. I changed dishwasher detergent several times and that did not help. I was about to buy a new dishwasher and ran across Lemi Shine Super. One washing and you can now see through my glassware. They are totally clear except for the scratches you can see where I had scrubbed them trying to get the cloudiness and smudges cleaned off. I thought perhaps the Lemi would also get my black cooktop streak and smudge and water spot free. Don't try that. What a mess that was. (The best thing for that is still Odo-Ban spray and a microfiber cloth. And that still is not satisfactory.) Since Lemi is expensive to use every load, after running the glasses through two loads, I ran them through with just a new dishwasher liquid I just bought - Palmolive ECO Dishwasher Liquid. They did not cloud back up. I will see how long it takes using just the ECO to make them cloudy again. Before using the Lemi I ran the glasses through with just the ECO and they were still cloudy and dirty looking, but I am hoping the ECO does not create (or allow the water to create) the cloudy film like the other detergents have.

getting rid of haze

AZdaddo January 31, 2014

Since I moved to AZ a few years ago I noticed my dishes we slowly building up a layer or haze on them. I tired elbow grease and a 3M pad but with little result. I looked up some reviews from notable testing sources and this product did very well. It is cheap so I gave it a try. After just 1 wash the difference was very noticeable. More so on my dishes than my glasses but still a big improvement. Subsequent washes have continued to bring my dishes back from the brink. I will most likely keep using this until it is gone and then but another container of it in a year to keep things tip top.

ronny11 February 11, 2014

I have very terrible water, and without this product my glasses and dishes have a gritty film when they come out of the dishwasher.....I used to be able to get this product in any grocery store, but then they (Lemishine) put out a liquid product that I was not happy with.....I thought I would never find the product again......then walmart.com voila! I am very happy!

Let 'em Shine

CrossXdraw March 25, 2016

I use this as part of a formula in cleaning brass cartridges/cases. This formula is the one I use with great results. I have been doing this for a very long time and it works great with the Lemi Shine Rinse additive. I have a tumbler which I load with water and used cases and s/s media pins. I add one teaspoon of Lemi shine Detergent & Lemi Shine Rinse +Dawn Platinum Dish Foam (you pour a "liquid" teaspoon out of the bottle not the foam). I tumble them for 1.5hrs., rinse and repeat for 1.0hrs., and finally I tumble the cases in a corncob/walnut w/polish media mix for about an hour. In 3.5hrs. you are done. They look and "feel" as good or better than new.

I had spots all over my dishwasher and could not find a solution for it. This product got rid of it! I almost bought a brand new dishwasher but I don't have to anymore.

Excellent product if you have hard water

JohnnyBGood2 December 10, 2013

I have used Jet Dry and dishwasher pods that include an ingredient that is supposed to combat hard water build up. My glasses would still come out with hard water film on them. After several washes, glasses would become milky. Lemi shine removes the film in a single wash, glasses sparkle like new.

I wish I invented it because I would be rich

learningtoq April 5, 2020

It works! I'm a believer and will share my testimony with all my friends and acquaintances. I had months of hard water residue on my dishes. A friend suggested the product. And in one washing, about 95% of the hard water residue was dissolved! Now I use it every other time I run the dishwasher. I'll buy and buy when I run out.
