Litter Genie XL+ Cat Litter Disposal System for Ultimate Odor Control, with One New Jumbo Refill

The XL Litter Genie is such a back saver! No more bending over or down just to lift the lever properly so that the dirty litter falls into the pail! I always needed two hands to operate the last one we had, which was a standard size. It has a lever that easily pulls out so the dirty litter falls gently into the pail. The original always felt like it was fighting you just to open it. Incredible design! Thank you!!

We’ve had an older litter genie for years now and we finally upgraded, we have 6 cats so now we finally can make it longer than two days before taking it out!

I like the thickness of the bag. The disposal hole is smaller than I expected, however, so I anticipate having to clean up the edges frequently. I'll keep wipes next to it. The litter scoop is small as well, in keeping with the size of the hole. Hmmm. It might be interesting scooping large urine clumps. I do have a large scoop on hand, but I'm going to have to figure out the best way to dispose of the larger urine clumps. Maybe just cleaning up the edges of the disposal chute will be the solution after getting the clumps in there. This is my very first Litter Genie. I glad I bought the XL model so there is room for morre litter, because I have three cats. The handle sticks a lot moving it in and out. I'm hoping that will become easier with use. I believe there will be a tight enough seal to keep odors inside though. I'm looking forward to having this to use daily! I like the sleek appearance of it too. Hopefully this will be a long, successful relationship.

I have a cat who uses the bathroom fairly frequently, but I mainly bought this because her poop STINKS!! I often have to scoop the litter box RIGHT after she uses it and I use a new bag every time for it because I throw them out right away afterward. I’ve wasted so many bags doing that. I’ve seen mixed reviews but this has truly made it 100x easier. I can scoop right after she goes, it doesn’t stink up the room, and I don’t have to take it out immediately. The container holds a really good amount too, that’s why I got the xl. The only downside is that the container is a little flimsy:/ but not enough to be any kind of problem. Also! I buy the bags needed for it in a pack from amazon because it’s cheaper! Overall, a good investment:)

I've only had this for a couple days, so im only giving 4 stars as I don't yet know how durable it is, but I definitely like the concept. I opted for the XL plastic version as I have 4 cats in the house. If it performs well, I'd consider upgrading to a stainless steel version. I do wish the scoop holder was larger, as I prefer tk continue using the metal litter scoop I already have, which doesn't fit in the holder.

It's a great product! I had the smallest one to begin with but with three cats I had to empty it constantly. With the XL I still need to empty it more often than I'd like (make a Ginormous Genie) but it's still a great product.

Well I just set it up so don’t know how well it is working yet. But once I figured out the bag following the instructions it seems self explanatory. I like how it’s skinny and fits right next to the litter box!

pretty easy product, the only issue is when trying to release waste below you often have to shake push and squish. and this was at the beginning of use. and would be great to have an added air freshener inside the product somewhere!

Just received the genie today so giving it a review so soon wouldn't be fair. However, the setup and use was easy & straightforward. I went ahead and put a dog poop bag in the litter scooper compartment to catch any litter stuck on the shovel, it will also help with preventing a mess to clean in that area. I'll come back and revise my rating once I've used it for at least the 21-days advertised for a multi-cat household before having to change the bag. ??

This is my third litter genie. Honestly, they could make the opening a bit bigger. It’s just slightly taller than the micro band litter genie I ordered four months ago, which is already on its way out the door. My first litter genie lasted a decent amount of time. Second one is not doing so well. This one is an impressive to say the least. Especially because the top keeps falling off.
