Purchased this for son to suspend his Dutch oven pot over his outdoor open flame. He loves it! He needed one that was 5 foot. Came in reasonable time, performed well. Box was damaged, but contents were fine.

Heavy duty !
This tripod is perfect for heavy cast iron pots. I plan to use a 12 quart Dutch oven this summer and needed the extra sturdiness this tripod and chain provides. An aluminum backpacking set up would not do. As far as the 3 times I had to order because the chain was missing in the first two deliveries, well that's not the product's fault. Both of those packages had holes in them and were ill taped.

Campfire Cooking in my future
I bought this 60" tripod to replace my 48" (Lodge) tripod.When cooking chili in a dutch oven over the fire, I was unable to put enoughr air between the pot and the fire, occasionally causing the food to scorch and stick to the bottom of the pot. The problem is now solved with the much taller 60 inch model. The base can be adjusted to accomodate the size of my dutch oven, and the heavy duty chain can be used to fine tune the height. My only regret is that I didn't learn of this tripod years ago as it would've prevented some of the scorching that occurred with my previous tripod

Better than expected
Very heavy, bought it for my husband and he is thrilled. It is very sturdy, looks very durable and has made our outdoor cooking more fun and easy.

Lodge Cast Iron 60” Camp Tripod
I haven't actually used it yet but it seems like it will work well. It folds up well and takes almost no space. It is very sturdy.

Heavy Duty Tripod. Lodge brand will last forever. Camp fire cooking is a blast with this tripod hanging a Dutch oven with chili cooking.
