The iron and packaging were opened, and it appeared I was going to have to get another one. Well, this steam iron worked, and I saw no damage to it at all. After plugging it up in less than 15 seconds, there was steam. Wow, that's very impressive. This steam iron is fancy with the gold trim. It looks high class. If this steam iron survived the trip in the beat-up box. Then, putting it in a suitcase and traveling with it, you should have no worries.

Took this on a 10 day girls trip and wow, is it handy. Only thing is it gets real hot and stays hot for a while so I suggest steaming your clothes or ironing them the night before in case you gotta fly out early in the morning other than that it's a great piece to have on trips
