This mattress is absolutely wonderful! I have enjoyed very restful nights since sleeping on this mattress. I highly recommend it, especially for those who are side sleepers! Thank you so much. The price was worth every night of good sleep I am enjoying.
No toxic chemical smell! Packing smell dissipated in short time after removed from plastic. Excellent comfort, excellent firmness, truth in advertising! I am thrilled with the quality and a great price. Thank you lucid for telling the truth about your mattress!
I bought 2 of these mattresses to go with my daughters IKEA Hemnes Daybed. They are the perfect size, and work well stacked. She sleeps really well on them, and the are exactly as described. My husband and I both have fallen asleep on them while reading books to our daughter so theyre also comfortable for adults. 10/10 recommend!
I bought this to go with the loft bed and slide for my 4yr old Dtr. The mattress fluffed up fine with no smell. It's comfortable and it fits perfect on the loft bed. I didn't need a board or anything underneath (just the bars that came with the bed). The sheets are a little loose but the mattress is not as thick as a spring mattress. It feels really comfortable but this is my first gel memory foam mattress. I have no issues as of yet.
I was sort of skeptical in regards to the 5" thinness. In the end it's doing as good a job as my 9". Memory foam on point, coolness as well. I have it on my day bed which is not used constantly, but I did test it out. Didn't take that long to expand, I waited a few hours then measured. Definitely not something anyone would want to jump since there are no springs. Also I am not the most massive person out there -155 lbs.
I ordered the bed because it said it was plush but what I received was somewhere between medium and firm. I have a two inch mattress pad I will put on top to help but this isn't what I ordered.
I was under the impression that hat I was ordering was the "Medium" firmness since it was listed as the option I was buying - but I was shipped the plush. This is going to be used for occasional guests, so it's likely not a big deal, but I would have preferred the medium firmness.
Item arrived very late, damaged and unusable. Only half of the mattress inflated, leaving a large ridge across the middle of the bed. Trying to return the item and get a refund has been a nightmare. In order to return the item, WalMart needs the item (now 3x the size it was) to be repackaged into the original box for a return pickup. Even if I return it to the store it has to be in its original box.
Read reviews prior to purchasing about the potential for mold growth and wasn't too concerned since I have never had a mattress develop mold. However, mold developed at some point over the last six months but was not visible until I took the cover off. I even leaned the mattress on its side regularly to try to allow air circulation to the bottom. When I contacted Lucid's customer service and provided a picture, they told me I had to have spilled something on it since I didn't report it/notice it until 6 months after purchasing. But again, you could not tell there was mold with the cover slip on. I did not spill anything on it. But I have spilled things on traditional mattresses, with zero mold growth. Also, the mattress started out firm and then started losing its firmness after a couple months in. Sure, it's cheap, but it's also very off-putting/concerning to find out you spent 8 hours a day nuzzled in mold spores.
I was so excited to sleep on this after reading the reviews, not at all how the reviews I read describe the mattress, hard as a rock. Ive slept in it a week now hoping for a change or getting used to it, I wake up tired, with numbness in my arms and hands which I didnt have before this mattress. Trying to exchange return it ASAP.
