If this doesn't scare the crap out of an attacker, then I don't know what will. Very LOUD and effective! Plus, it has a manual whistle as a back-up. The keychain swivel is good quality and seems like it will hold up. I also like its size, my daughter can cup it in her hand. In addition to scaring off potential attackers, it will let people/police anywhere in the area know someone is in trouble.

It really is SUPER LOUD! It definitely will deter someone from doing something stupid. Everything works wonderfully. I love the fact it has a built in whistle just in case the alarm malfunctions or the batteries run out. It was fast shipping too. Hopefully I'll never have to use this, but it's a great safety net to fall on.

I had previously ordered a few of these to give to some women I know. I was assured by one woman that they are, indeed, very, very loud. Of course, I hope none will ever have to use them, but I think the women did feel a little safer for having an alarm. I recently ordered three more and am glad to say that I found out the batteries are replaceable. So, a good product at a good price.

Save yourself the hassle. This company gives you free shipping on your delivery but you have to pay a restocking fee and a delivery fee on your returns if you happen not to like the product. I made the mistake of purchasing this item for thinking it contained mace. The brand is “Mace.” Silly me. Otherwise, the company offered zero accommodations. I wouldn't purchase this product just because of the companies bad marketing skills.
