Great early warning system. Inexpensive, easily installed in a couple of minutes. Siren or doorbell alarm setting. Device is pretty loud even as small as it is. Siren or door bell alarm is easily heard upstairs from the basement entrance door and windows. It would definitely wake me up at night if the alarm sounded. I am considering installing a couple additional alarms upstairs also.

This is my second set of these alarms. I bought the first ones to put on exit doors because my husband has dementia and tries to wander outside the house. The alarms can be adjusted to have a chime tome or a blaring tone which cannot be ignored. They were easily installed and are still in good working condition. I bought the second set for inside doors also to make sure he is safe in his room when we are all sleeping. The batteries do wear out if the alarm is on a door/window that gets opened frequently. It's easy to buy replacement batteries and install them, however they can be expensive (@$6.00) . I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants an added layer of safety on doors/windows.

I love these. They are easy to install and give off a chime or a very loud alarm to scare off anyone! They are very inexpensive so I bought one for every door and window. I feel much safer now. They have a low battery indicator so I know when to change the batteries, Batteries are button batteries and do not cost very much so they are also affordable. Would definitely recommend these!

These worked just like the reviews said. Easy to install & VERY loud if you put on the "alarm" setting, rather than chime. Chime could be used more just to let you know someone came through the door... not sure it would scare an intruder. We are getting more for all our doors & windows.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to secure your home, this is it. These sensors are fantastic & VERY easy to install. Not only will they protect your house & belongings in the "ALARM" mode, but when in the "CHIMES" mode, it let's you know when a window or a door has been opened. This is especially important for monitoring small children. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

It's not a big dollar security system or ADT but if you want to feel a little more secure than this product is right for you. It is especially nice if you have a screen door before you enter the main door to your home. Mount this on the screen door entrance to buy you time before the intruder gets to the main door, it is sure to alarm them. These little door alarms are annoyingly loud.

I put these on my doors, they are loud! If the woodwork is not flush with your door buy a box of 3m double sided sticky pads and use enough to make the alarm line up with magnet. I recommend this product!

I give it 4 1/2 only because the chime is annoying. We live in an apartment, and have two sliding glass doors. This gives us peace of mind. Don't really like the chime mode, sounds like your walking into a store. But we use the alarm at night and when we are away. And it works rather you open the door fast or slow.

This pack contains two window alarms from a reputable manufacturer. They're small but not chintzy. The way they are applied is irst you pull out the plastic tab keeping the batteries from activating the unit, then you put the double sided tape (included) on each magnetic piece of the alarm. Then you stick the unit on the window in such a way that the two magnetic pieces are less than a half inch away from each other. That's the tricky part. Not everybody has a window that lets you nestle them together like the picture up there. Mine forces me to apply the units upright, like the way they are positioned in the package. The way the alarm works is that, when they are armed, and the magnetic pieces are separated by more than an inch, noise begins emitting from the speaker on the big piece. So if someone opens your window in the dead of night, they are going to wake you up. Luckily these GE alarms have a chime setting, so you can test them out without blaring out your eardrums before switching to the full-blast alarm setting when you're satisfied it's ready to arm. The double sided tape leaves somewhat to be desired. It does not stand up well to my cold windows at all. These pieces are very light weight though, so you can replace the tape with a stronger adhesive with no trouble (which is what I had to do). You could put these on a door too, if your door is flush enough with the frame.

I recently purchased a townhouse which I plan to fix up and rent out. While in residence I wanted something inexpensive yet effective enough to warn me of an intruder or at least give pause to an intruder. For the price this is a good product and satisfies the requirement of warning. The alarm is loud but not ear-piercing. It was barely audible through a closed door. The chime however works well for entry and exit as it gives the impression of a whole house alarm system. Very easy to install; has the option of chime or alarm and an on/off setting.
