Very good rice and comparible in price with Walmarts brand rice, Mahatma is high quaility and easier to cook.It could be because the walmart brand is short grain. I like Mahatma much better. A good move for this company to lower its price very clise to walmarts great value rice. This rice even cooks better. I will not even look back at Walmarts rice again.

Excellent rice. We store ours in a food grade 5 gallon bucket with a screw top lid and O2 absorbers inside. However, we use it quickly in our home. Expect to store about 25-35lbs in a 5 gallon bucket.

Great deal for the quality you get with Mahatma. After buying store brand rice for years, I decided to go for it and buy the name brand. My family noticed the difference immediately. My son's old finace was a rice snob. I never understood her need for super expensive fancy imported rice. It always seem like such a waste of money for no real gain in value and quality over a tradition good value white rice and that is exactly what this is: A good tasting Tradition White rice at a good value. Rice cooking varies by person and expectations also tend to vary. This rice, to me, is just as good and easy to use as any standard white rice.

Ive been purchasing this rice in bulk for a long time. when sautéed preparing for spices it does not burn. the pores soak up seasinings and ingredients well! Also acidic foods like tomatoes!

Have used Manhattan Rice, for years . it has always been my go to. The simplicity of preparation is always great. When you combine the rice with ingredients it stays perfectly balanced. The taste and the quality is always great. Love that taste.
