Mainstays 5 in Metallic Black Adjustable Mini Clip Lamp with LED Bulb Included

I got this bc it's a clip on lamp, which offers convenience and ease of use for my purpose, which is to clamp it to the bars of my turtle's basking area and shine it into his pond area so his fish can see and will stop thinking it's time to hibernate. As soon as I turned it on, they came out to eat. I love the rotating switch, it's easy to engage.

The light fixture is very small, I didn't pay attention to the (5 inch) product description. The clamp is strong and stays put. The light output is good. I'm happy with the metal construction.

The bulb is a 25watt and the cord has the on and off switch on it. The light is bright enough for a small area. It's a clip on too. So it's good if you have an shelf on your desk to clip it on to. Not a bad little light for the price.

It's inexpensive and adds a good amount of light. My only complaint is that the cord is a little short. I bought two for my son's room. He's an avid reader and the lighting in there just sucks. I clamped one on his headboard and one on his bookshelf. The headboard clamp worked because the plug was close but because of the height of the bookcase, it required an extension cord even though the plug was relatively close. I don't regret my purchase and would purchase again.

For my application, I would have liked a clamp with a slightly wider jaw, but for $12 bucks, these are great!.

I purchased this to use as a bed time reading lamp. The base isn't suitable for my headboard, so while it is a very good light I have to make some sort of adapter to hook it to my bed. Nothing against the lamp and I was expecting this.

The only annoyance is inline control. Why can't it be like old style -a knob at the top of the light. Or a toggle switch in line, but those wheel things are almost impossible to manage with arthritis or stroke or nerve damage or weak hands and fingers. The cord is maybe 3' so longer than most. I wish it was a bit longer on one of my two lights. These are tiny and unobtrusive but throw a good pool of light. I like em🤓

I found the clip-on useful only for clip-on to a shelf well above the work. If a low shelf, a taller clip-on would be better for me.

These lamps are very small, maybe a little larger than my fist. I actually confirmed that the socket accepted a standard size bulb before buying because the detailed dimensions were published, but the diameter of the flashing is so small you need to get special small globe bulbs. yes, it came with a bulb but I needed them for a specific use with specific light requirements. i will now need to return them and find an appropriate product.

I did not realize that this lamp was so small. I like the lamp. I just don't like the size. I most certainly did not want a lamp this small. It defeated the purpose.
