Mainstays – 8.5x11 Picture Frame – Black Document Frame Wall or Tabletop Photo Frame

These frames were surprisingly sturdy and elegant. I thought they would be some cheapo frames but they actually are very well made and has a premium look and feel. I wasn't expecting the weight of the frame to be as heavy as it was. And just to think I was about to spend $30 for just 1 frame

THIS IS A TOP QUALITY FRAM ALL AROUND. SOLID. NOTHING FLIMSY OR FALLING OFF. I WILL BE BUYING MORE OF THESE. LOT'S MORE. BEST I HAVE SEEN IN MANY YEARS.

I was hoping it would be a little bigger than it was since it is for framing an 8.5x11 with a mat but it was just a little too short for the painting I was wanting to put in it. Even though it didn't work for that painting I had one that was an 8x11 that worked in it, so I kept the frame.

This is an excellent frame for the price. It is sturdy and easy to use. You can hang it or place on the table, in both landscape or portrait. The pane is glass, so you want to make sure that it is in a stable location, but it is a perfect frame for the price.

These are very nice frames. . I will buy again. They are easy to put the picture in the frame.

Still poor walmart qualiity of junk products

Very disappointed with these frames. The product description states this is an “8.5x11 frame matted to 8x10,” but neither of those things are actually true. The frame itself is much larger at roughly 12x9.5, and the white matting is what creates the 8.5x11 display area. This completely ruined the look of the art prints I bought these for. My prints are exactly 8.5x11 with very dark backgrounds, which is specifically why I chose black frames. The bright white matting looks awful with them, and we did not want matting at all. If we wanted oversized frames with white borders, we would have purchased larger frames intentionally instead of ordering the exact size we needed. On top of that, the packaging was stapled directly onto each frame with four large industrial staples per frame. These staples are not part of the frame itself, but are physically driven through the outer material as part of the packaging. Removing them will leave visible holes in all four frames, essentially causing permanent damage before the frames are even used. There is also a high risk of additional surface damage during removal since they are deeply embedded. This is not something the average customer has tools for or should be expected to deal with, and it is extremely frustrating to receive products in this condition. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing purchase. Spending extra money for the “wood” frames instead of the plastic ones ended up feeling like a complete waste.

Bought this early 2026 and many were damaged so I had to return but at least some still had the kickstand. Went to 3 different stores in June of 2026 and they didn't sell them with kickstands anymore despite being labeled online as such.
