Mainstays Glazed White Stoneware Dinnerware Set, 12-Pieces

This is my second set. Price is extremely reasonable. They are simple in design yet very appealing and versatile. They have a bit of weight to them. The dinner plates are large! I loved the first set so much I got another so I have a full set of 8. I'm glad they don't come with cups as I like to have different mugs for each user . Generally the cups in sets are too small for my fellow coffee fiends!

I just needed some basic white plates that will go with most anything and would be easy to match with if I decided to add other pieces. This set is nice quality and seems durable. I know they are just plain white but they are still pretty and elegant looking. I ordered a "set of two" just in case I need to replace a broken piece or add a few more pieces for a larger group. Nice set! They aren't too heavy either. For a stoneware set of dishes, I expected them to be heavier. Love that they are dishwasher safe too.

very heavy stoneware well made durability probably last a lifetime for real. Easy cleaning . Best deal of a long time ago deals I always found. big plates nice size then medium plates are way bigger than other plates these are not small size like other sets and bowls are perfect size deeper than they look wedding gift if 4 pc set is ok it's under _$15 or 8pc set for less than $30. And 10 years later they still have them same dishes trust me awesome

The dishes are simple and pretty. White goes with everything. I threw away my scratched melamine and wanted to replace them with something safe and inexpensive. The only problem for me was the dinner plates were too heavy for my hands - I have OA and RA. I gave them away to a neighbor.

These are very nice and I would recommend them. The price was just what I needed as I am having to replace everything in a cross-country move. The one problem I have is that they are slippery when I am washing them making me need to be very cautious so as to avoid dropping the big plates especially. The bottom rim is set farther in than my hand size can stretch easily to grip them securely. Does that make sense?

i was skeptical buying walmart dinnerware. it seemed almost too good a deal but i gave it a shot %26 im very pleased. the bowls %26 plate size are very nice. snack plates for something small and dinner plates to hold a meal. there were a couple minor scuffs but willing to overlook for the price and how easy they are to clean. for less than $15 i don't need perfect i need functional and something that will last so im happy (:

These plates were a great disaappointment from the first use. I put the set in the sink in dish soap to clean before my first use. All of the lettering inked on the bottom of the them started to come off. I was confused. For truly you must wash the plates so what was that all about. Equally, they are rather thin.

I was looking for a dinnerware set that was comparable to my off white Crate and Barrel set that is still in storage. I am pleased with the color and minimalist design. The coffee/tea cups are very small and the bowls get very hot if you use them to reheat in the microwave. The set in its entirety is very scaled back size wise so expect that. I am not disappointed but it is very basic.

The style and plain design is as expected. For the price I didn't really expect much. As others have said, some of the plate bottoms are unfinished and a bit rough. I can even get past that. My disappointment is the color. They are not white. They are an off-white. So it completely ruined my tableware design, so I was unable to use them. Not just because the color was NOT WHITE, but because the color also inconsistent with the entire street. Each piece was a different shade of off-white. If I just need a cheap set of dishes, then I'll keep them. But, most likely returning.

Using regular utensils, knives and forks leave black marks all over the plates. They don't wash off by hand or dishwasher. Searched online for cleaning recommendations. Paste made with baking soda as a soft abrasive requires constant scrubbing of each mark. I even mixed in toothpaste. Same result. Tedious and tiresome with most marks slightly less visible. Im returning te set. Don't bother with purchasing.
