So I bought my father a very expensive cake for his birthday and I realize that when it was delivered, there was no way to store it and I didn't want it to dry out so I looked on Walmart online and I bought this product this cake holders excellent it's washable. It's large so it held this big huge 8 inch cake, and awesome.

Nothing is so frustrating as trying to find just the right container to carry your perfect-looking pie, cake OR cupcakes to someone's party or a bake sale! Happily, this carrier will fit these needs perfectly. The clearance on the top leaves plenty of room for even a large sized layer cake and the flip-side of the base will keep a dozen cupcakes from sliding into each other. The 4 latches ensure that the base remains attached to the lid. Seems quite durable.

it's hard to find a good carrier that will hold a large/tall cake, this one fits the bill, it'll easily hold a full 8 inch tall 12 inch diameter cake. the bottom flips so you can keep cupcakes in it without them sliding around in transit, but i don't do cupcakes myself. comes with a knife/serving tool that snaps into the top of the lid out of the way, it's a pretty thoughtful design the handle is well balanced and easily locks down out of the way when you're not carrying it and the locks securely fasten without the worry they'll come open unexpectedly. as a bonus, it easily fits glass pie pans inside as well to keep the pie fresher and easily accessible.

I have just received this cake carrier, so I can't speak about its durability over time. But I was pleasantly surprised at its sturdiness. It's not heavy, but it is made of thick plastic that I expect could handle a heavy layer cake. And it's pretty tall as well, for those 2-3 layer cakes. The included cake cutter/server fits on the bottom side of the lid and will be handy in a pinch. It's black plastic so not the cutest, I would prefer to use a stainless one I already own. The cupcake holder side of the base is thoughtful, but it only holds 12 cupcakes. In an ideal world, there would be a second layer tray to insert that would hold 24 cupcakes, but that's aggressive for a $15 item. Overall, the cake carrier is of excellent quality and functionality. I would have paid $25-30 for this even at Walmart, given these attributes. I could imagine a Rubbermaid or Tupperware brand version would be $50, or more, and wouldn't do much more than this item.

Overall the cake stand is well worth the mone, which was not a lot. The plastic is thick and durable. The cake stand is oversized for a pound cake and it also serves as a cupcake holder. Did I mention it has locking clasp to carry the cake? I'm happy with my purchase and I'm considering purchasing another one. Good buy!

Awesome to keep your banana breads or cakes intact this is perfect for everything literally cup cakes, or individual mint cups dessert for outdoor parties or picnic you can store sandwiches you can even use it backwards for more capacity, the only downside is the grasping things sometimes you need to put it back but overall is a great addition if you love home bake, it has a large size

Value: For the money this is a great purchase. Shipping was very prompt (one day). It will also hold and transport cupcakes. Cupcake holder is molded into the base. You can clip a cake cutter/server (included) to the inside of the cover. Easy to clean. Latches securely.

I lke the size of this cake carrier, it is plastic so I am not sure how long iong it will last if dropped , it is tall so it can hold a tall cake or one layer of cup cakes. It has a clip on each side to hold the top to the base but need to be handled with care as they seem like they could break if too mush pressure is applied, and the cake server is very sturdy for cutting and serving the cake.

Overall, it is sturdy and the top snaps into the bottom snugly. There is a nice handle on the top, though I sometimes carried it with two hands underneath it. The only thing I didn't like is the cupcake holder in the bottom, but my plate holding the cake fit in okay.

The lid is cheap plastic along with the clasps to lock in place. The clasps keep coming off to the point I lost one between houses. I would never hold this by the handle to transfer cakes/cupcakes. It will hold a 3 tier cake but be careful. I'm on the prowl for something better. In my opinion it's also cheap looking.
