very nice. reminds me of a time i dont really remember. i remember the taste. but i dont recall the memory. its very good if you like any kind of malt-o-meal. rich chocolate taste. butter sweet. get ya some. fr. preparations in secs texture is not bad. morning noon or nite always a winner.

I'm so happy I was finally able to find my chocolate-flavored malt-o-meal at Walmart! I had to special order it, but it was definitely worth it—they delivered it right to me with no issues. I will say, I remember the chocolate flavor being a bit stronger years ago, maybe about 10 years back, but it's still really good and brings back that familiar taste I love. Overall, I'm honestly tickled pink that I found it again. I love this product and I'm so glad it's still around!

Wasn't a n easy to prepare taste from childhood? Here it is. Even if you don't have milk, this is the best, warm, filling breakfast. Malted chocolate! Yum!

Great alternative to oatmeal for Cold mornings! kids love it %26 I grew up on it. I like the chocolate version it makes it simpler you don't have to add chocolate. Hard to find the chocolate ones the regular malto-meal is everywhere you can buy that %26 add chocolate to it. we like chocolaty but u can eat it without. get yourself some of this %26 make some toast fir a quick warm breakfast for those cold mornings! =)

My whole family loves Chocolate Malt-O-Meal as well as Cocoa Wheats, which is very similar. I was raised eating this delicious hot breakfast every day before school, and then I gave it to my children. Now we give it to the grandkids, too!

I'm an old fuy, but having chocolate cream of wheat which brings back my childhood memories. I'll have it maybe 3 times a week, but when I'm going to have it, it's on hand. I just wish they had maple syrup and or brown sugar flavored cream of wheat.

I have always just loved it since i was a kid. still love it as an adult. Freeze dried it and it tastes like a cookie and is convenient for on the go. And is great for long term storage

Malt O Meal falls victim to food better left as a memory. When we were kids, mom would make Malt O Meal occasionally, and we remember it as tasteless mush that you had to douse in something sweet to give it any flavor. Then one day, we saw Chocolate Malt O Meal on the shelf and begged mom to buy it, figuring that it would be tastier. As we recall, it was better. You could taste the chocolate in it, and you didn't need all the excess sweetener. Fast forward to the bowl of Chocolate Malt O Meal we just had for ol' time's sake. It tasted like nothing. Where's the chocolate? Did we accidentally get the regular kind? No, the box says chocolate, and it was brown, but you sure wouldn't know it by taste. Granted, we didn't add in the extra sugar like the box said, because we figured that if it's chocolate, it's already sweet and shouldn't need excess sweetener. Wrong! Anything we may have added would have been the only thing we tasted. The mushy texture was pretty much like we remember, and it did have that memorable malty aftertaste. But, sorry, the chocolate is not there. Not like in the recipes of yesteryear. P.S. To be fair, one other eater at our house thought that their bowl, out of the same batch, tasted like rich, bitter, dark chocolate. That goes to prove that taste is subjective and food reviews don't really mean very much. That's why we gave it a neutral 3. Meh, we could take it or leave it.

Overall the product was as expected. However the seller choice of delivery service is the reason for the low rating. The cut rate shipper thought it was a good idea to leave the package in the rain on the side of a country road despite signage clearly stating to deliver to front door. Contacted the seller who replied that I should return the wet package. I took the loss and marked it up to an educational lesson on using third party sellers. Never again

It's Malt-o-Meal so it was good as expected. I just didn't like the chocolate taste it had. I will still eat what I have but I'm not yet sure if I will buy it again.
