Split Pea Soup Without Pork
My friend who is recovering from cancer wanted some split pea soup but she doesn't eat pork. She told me she could only find one kind and it was over $7 a can. I bought this, some carrots. Celery and onions and made the best soup ever. I've ordered it five times and it's always great. Even if you don't bother with the fresh vegetables it's better than canned if you use chicken stock rather than water.

My mom used to add a soup bone a carrot celery and onion and seasoning as needed. It always great like my mom used to make. Now my daughter makes it also. My daughter is a vegetarian so she skips the soup bone.

Hearty soup in no time!
This is a great addition to any soup! I like to sauté a bunch of vegetables in a big pot and then add this with some extra spices and water. It gets soft much faster then buying the raw beans. It's a great hack!

good flavor , easy to prepare !~!!! I added cubed ham ~~on the second batch, was delicious !!!! its best to leave it sit for a bit to thicken up.... very good !!!!

maneshevitz split pea and Barkley soup
they never have the bean and barley one in stock so I took that and added my own beans please keep it in stock it's the better ones of all they make

Great, but will adjust the cooking instructions
As directed, the soup is very watery, not like the canned varieties. The taste is great, but next batch I make I think I will only use half of the water, cook uncovered for reduction and then half the seasoning packet (or to taste). I also like to chop up SPAM and use 1/3 of the can in the soup.

Skip this brand altogether!!
Worst I have ever tasted! Extraordinarily watery even after extended cooking. Spice packet with excessive salt. Bland boring taste..?
