Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn, 14.5 oz

I use the basic product as soup and/or base liquid for adding more dried veggies and add more liquid if necessary. The flavor is really good, the texture of the corn is very close to fresh kernels but the okra usually includes base ends that are tough. And I often add meat or cheese and used cut up corn and wheat tortillas, makes a great casserole.

A great product! I have used the Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn in many different recipes over the years. Well filled cans so you actually get more product than juice.

These are a great side dish over white or saffron rice. Plated next to a meat or served with a plate of vegetables over mashed potatoes (Idahoan instant potato flakes are my go to)...if you love meat like my family does, pairs well with fried chicken, cubed steak or ham...wait, I'm gonna have to throw some fried okra on that plate as well.

The awkward tomatoes and corn are delicious. I buy them all the time. They are good if you can make a gumbo with them or you just wanna have a regular bowl of soup with cornbread, you can get your cornbread at Walmart already cooked comes out a package I buy it all the time thank you Walmart for setting your products for a very reasonable price for your customers.

I make my own with tomatoes and okra for much less. I like the corn in the mix. It's a nice easy side. I bought several cans to stock in pantry, but, they're all gone. It tastes like summer. So glad it's always available at all the grocery stores I frequent. Walmart has the best price though.

This brand of soup goes a long way because of the fact that it's actually good. I use it for making other soups, stews and adding it to different things to enhance the flavor. Its also great by itself. They have a variety of flavors. You should try them. I know you would like them.

This mixture of vegetables is savory! It goes wonderfully with chicken and rice! The convenience is that it is fully cooked for you-just heat up. So delicious! It has so many health benefits too! Not to mention, it is very fairly priced for what you are getting.

Margaret Holmes has the best vegetables. Tomatoes/Okra, Tomatoes/Okra/field peas, Squash and Vidalia Onions. I have loved taking these and mixing them together, Tomatoes/Okra mixed with Squash and Vidalia Onions. Yum Yum. Don't worry about them touching on your plate, or one juice running into the other juice. Just mix them together, and you will definitely thank me later for the suggestion. I call it Mix, Match, Put em in a Batch Bowl.

This looks promising because it doesn't have very many ingredients, but 1/2 cup has 380 mg of sodium and it tastes really really salty. This might be better used as a garnish or a topping then as a soup.

Disgusting. Gross in a can. over processed. Lots of additives.So easy to make at home with fresh ingredients adding a whole different world of flavor.
