It works good but is off by 4 degrees Too hot
I bought this as a gift for my grandson and he said it works good but is off by 4 degrees too hot so he lowered the gage to work correctly .

Fully submersible or not?
It was confusing in all product descriptions in that some said fully submersible and some, like this, just said submersible. We took a chance and ordered it because it was for a small pond and we liked the protective rubber tip. It is working fine. Has a decent length cord. Most products specifically for ponds are only de-icers and do nothing to actually heat the pond higher than freezing. No use in our case.

Satisfactory
It took a bit to dial in the temp. The temp you set isn't necessarily the temp you get. Use another thermometer to monitor it. Once I got the tank temp where I wanted it, it has maintained it perfectly though.
