We have had a very HOT summer. I was worried about the robins, blue jays, and cardinals in my yard. I can't afford to water my grass daily and the worms are deep down in the dirt out of the reach of the birds. I can feed them mealworms! They are loving it.

The hens love them
Who would know freeze-dried worms would be such a hit? The hens go crazy for these treats. They were a bit pricey so I took a chance and success. Soak them in water to give your birds a little more hydration. They will pick through the feed to find these and eat them first. I can only assume they taste good by the way the hens responded. Super high in protein so healthy too.

Bluebird bonanza
Good size since the others were either one pound or five pounds. The local Bluebirds have raised two broods this summer and the Carolina Wrens also had two. The Catbirds were voracious in the spring but came for only the grape jelly over the summer.
