There are many types of authentic Mexican tacos. The most classical and popular are tacos al pastor. Pork meat seasoned overnight with some of the most flavorful peppers (not spicy). They are accompanied by sliced onions or pineapple. Making the sauce is a pain in the neck and you need a few types of peppers. This little envelope has enough sauce to create the typical flavor. You wrap the meat in a corn tortilla, add a bit of cilantro, and a spicy sauce, and you are transported to flavorful Mexico.

Okay, so I really loved this seasoning. Took the guess work out of trying to find the exact blend for al pastor. Was the perfect amount of seasoning and I was able to make a delicious dinner at a fraction of the cost of buying takeout or going out to eat. McCormick has outdone itself with this! I absolutely recommend to anyone.

The McCormick Al Pastor Seasoning has a great balance of smoky and slightly sweet flavors, better than other mixes I've tried. It's super convenient. We just add the seasoning to pork or chicken and get authentic-tasting tacos without a lot of effort. I'd definitely buy it again and recommend it to family and friends for an easy, flavorful meal.

Pretty tasty and easy to use. It has a great balance of flavor and spice but not too much heat. I used it to season some pork and it turned out delicious and moist. Highly recommend for a quick taco night

My family loved this al Pastor seasoning! I make Mexican dishes at least twice per week and this has been added to our regular rotation. It's not too spicy but adds superb flavor. We used the suggestion on the back to make a rice bowl.

Spicy but not hot. I love seasonings that can make things spicy while still being able to taste my food lol. This seasoning is great for that. On potatoes, chicken, corn... all kinds of things. I love the taste and would definitely buy more.

I have never had Al Pastor before, so I did not have any expectations as to what they should have tasted like. That being said, my family and I loved it. I used it with a combination of ground beef and ground pork to make tacos. It had a lot of flavor and a little kick of heat, but it was bearable. My little ones ate it with no problem. I will definitely buy this seasoning blend again.

This seasoning packet is quite generous for its recipe recommended protein portion! The packet rips easily without a scissor and was smelled of fresh spicy and sweetness. The premixed powder was easy to pour over the pork and coated them nicely with an orange red tint. I let it marinade a few hours in the fridge before grilling medium charcoal heat and slow. Although sweet smelling, the marinade did not burn into the meat which usually happens with sugary ones. The meat felt even more tender while handling it onto the grill. The taste was pretty close to many kinds of Al Pastor dishes I've had. It did need a bit more salt to taste than the packet included. You can taste the chilis, cayenne,and smoked paprika on top of the charcoal flavor from the grill which is a plus because I could have achieved a smokey flavor without the grill. The pineapple flavor is there, but next time I think I will add more fresh pineapple or it's juice to the mix for more powerful flavor! The cumin is evenly balanced with the other flavors within his mix. Overall this pre-made seasoning is an easy way to make Al Pastor with minimal alterations including a lite touch of salt and real pineapple for flavor without adding too much sweetness!

This seasoning packet is exactly what I would expect from a pre-made seasoning. It flavored the meat, but lacked the excitement of getting a good recipe. It's perfect for an easy version for a quick meal!!

1 star is far to high for this seasoning. I've had chicken al pastor at chiptole and they've been advertising it lately. So when I saw this i thought YUM! I can make it at home. WRONG! The smell was nauseating and the taste was worse. I ruined 2lbs of chicken breasts. Don't waste your money.
