Delish heat

Yolo July 5, 2026

Im really enjoying these crushed jalapeño flakes they have the perfect grind size and heat. With a very subtle hint of sweet and slight kick for when you don't want your mouth on fire. They definitely smell like jalapeños. The design of the bottle makes it easy to sprinkle on as much or as little as you'd like. It's delicious over some cracked wheat sourdough toast and margarine or cream cheese.

Move Over Red Pepper Flakes...

Travis May 25, 2026

These are delicious, think of red pepper flakes which are spicy and great in and of themselves...then add the flavor of a dried jalapeno and you have this. They are not quite as hot as red pepper flakes, but taste much better. I use them on eggs, pasta, potatoes so far and I can imagine trying them on other foods. Try them, if you are a jalapeno fan I think you'll love them.

I cannot keep jalapeños in my house. We're constantly running out. Nobody remembers buying the first shaker of these, but I decided to use them one day, and I add them to the grocery order regularly, now. They're dehydrated, so nobody steals them for snacks or sandwiches the way they do with fresh or pickled jalapeños, so I always have them available when I'm cooking. They rehydrate while cooking, just from the juices of the meat or vegetables I'm using them in, and add that lovely jalapeño flavor. Walmart asked about heat level. I didn't really know how to answer. They're literally just dried jalapeños, so if you eat jalapeños, you should know these are about the same heat level as pickled jalapeños. They're not very hot, but I can't say they don't have any heat, because they're jalapeños, and some people think that is hot.

Spicy but not too hot.

anonymous July 12, 2026

These jalapeno pepper flakes are one of my staples I make sure I have on hand. We like our food a little spicy around here . I sprinkle them in just about everything I cook. They're spicy but not unbearably hot.

I wish someone had thought of this sooner!! I LOVE Jalapeños, but some food it's not easy to put large Jalapeños on and there are some things my family doesn't care for them on or they want less than me.. this is perfect!!! I pray you never stop selling it🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💞

Great tasting

MellyO November 30, 2025

I tried the Crushed Jalapeño Peppers after receiving it. I put it in my Chili instead of using Cayenne pepper and was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It wasn't as spicy as I was expecting. My family used it on pizza and loved it. I've been using it on foods that I normally use crushed Peppers on and it tastes great. I will definitely be buying these on a regular basis.

This!!!!

Sherri January 1, 2026

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to find and use this product. A little goes a long way. I bought 2 more bottles after the first purchase, and ground them up in a spice grinder, so I could have both ground jalapeño %26 the flakes as well. The taste is amazing! I absolutely love this. Heat isn't super strong, just slightly there but the flavor is great. Would recommend.

For That Perfect Little "Zing"

Matthew July 5, 2026

Low-Level Heat. Good for mixing with other spices to create a "Sweating" spice mix. Not quite as hot as other brands, or as much jalapeno flavor as some, but still good...

Smooth level of heat

Lbayls November 18, 2025

I received a sample of the McCormick crushed jalapeño pepper to review, and tried it out on our family dinner. I am sensitive to spice so I kept mine without any spice, but my husband and 14 year old daughter love anything with heat so they gladly tested it out. Both of them agreed that the heat level was mild and didn't over power the dish. It's such a convenient way to add some character to any dish! I took a star off, really it should only be a half a star off, because they'd prefer it to be a bit hotter on the spice scale.

Celery Salt and a Jalepeno Sub 😂

Laurie November 3, 2025

I'm not complaining...just sharing a joke😆 I had 8rder the Crushed McCormick Jalepeno Pepper, not thinking about putting in a 'Substitution', and I hadn't checked my email before Delivery... When My Order arrived, the Receipt said that a Substitution was placed, as they were out of stock on the Crushed Jakepeno Pepper... I received a bittle of McCormick Celery Salt, and a Jalepeno Pepper from the Produce Department 😂😂😂
