Thanks BzzAgent for letting me try for free in exchange for an honest opinion. My family loves Greek so maybe we don't need as much to be impressed. All four kids, husband and myself loved it. Super easy to make the tzaziki, just added packet to sour cream. I was super lazy and just dumped the meat packet right on to the chicken before throwing it into the oven. We just plopped the sauce right onto the chicken. So yummy!! We'll definitely buy again. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a mouth who eats. The only thing I could think of as a negative was that the packet for the tzaziki sauce should have been the one that was slightly higher up in order to cut the top off a little easier.
The McCormick Greek Style Gyro with Tzatziki Sauce Seasoning with Sauce Duo tops my list of easy to prepare, healthy quick meals! I simply cut up 1 lb. of chicken, although I think you could use more, and cooked it with the Greek seasoning packet mixture. I mixed 1 cup of Greek yogurt with the tzatziki sauce mixture. Both seasonings are delicious and so flavorful. I had a lot of leftover tzatziki sauce, which my kids really enjoyed as a dip for cucumbers, peppers, and carrots. I will certainly be buying more of this seasoning, and look forward to trying others from McCormick.
This mccormick gyro seasoning tasted very good. It was not too spicy and it was not too salty. This was the first time I had made gyros. It turned out very good and I was pleased with the seasoning. I will buy the mccormick gyro seasoning again and would recommend it to anyone looking to make a good gyro. I got the product for free in exchange for writing and honest review.
I recently tried the McCormick Greek Style Gyro Seasoning & Sauce Duo, and I was genuinely impressed with how simple it made creating a restaurant-quality gyro meal in my own kitchen. The seasoning blend has a perfect balance of classic Mediterranean flavors like garlic, oregano, onion, and a hint of citrus, without being too salty or overpowering. It works beautifully on chicken. The sauce mix is what really sets this duo apart. It gives you that cool, creamy tzatziki-style finish that ties everything together. I loved that I could just mix it with Greek yogurt to get an authentic flavor in minutes. It tastes fresh and bright, with just enough dill to keep it traditional. Overall, this seasoning and sauce duo is a fantastic pantry item for anyone who enjoys Greek flavors but doesn't want to buy a ton of ingredients. I'll definitely be purchasing this again.
Loved the taste of the seasoning on the chicken. Then after the sauce is added you get a light fresh tasting Gyro. The packet makes for a simple and quick meal that everybody will enjoy for lunch, dinner, or even a snack. The only thing I didn't like was the packaging because the two seasoning were not completely separated in the packet I had. When I went to mix with the Greek yogurt both sides of mix started coming out but I caught it before all of the seasoning came out. Make sure you ready the packet completely beforehand and be careful when getting ready to mix the seasonings in case yours is not separated also. I will be keeping the packets of McCormick Greek Style Gyro Seasoning & Sauce Duo packets on hand. I can't wait to try with other meats and vegetables. I would definitely recommend to anybody who likes Gyros or wants a light refreshing meal.
Loved the two-in-one idea! The seasoning for the chicken and the tzatziki sauce were both amazing. My family devoured it and immediately wanted more. My only suggestion would be to make the directions on the package a bit clearer—but overall, such a delicious and convenient meal!
I mixed it with some Greek yogurt as recommended. Although the flavor was nice, it didn't have the pop of flavor we were expecting, and it didn't mix well, leaving a powdery texture. I added olive oil which helped, but still didn't completely change the texture. I love a lot of flavoring/seasoning, and although it tasted nice, it's definitely not a strong taste. I may try it again with sour cream though and see what that does!
This was my first time trying the Greek Style Gyro seasoning as I do not think to make gyros often. The dip had a good flavor and tasted really good with the chicken gyro. I thought it was a bit tangy. I would buy again when I was in the mood for a gyro.
McCormick can never go wrong with any of their seasonings or packets. They always make everything full of flavor and delicious! This isn't something I would normally go for, but something my husband likes. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes gyros as this gives great flavor! My husband loved it!
One, instructions on the pouch could be clearer. It says to first cut open 1 for sauce and then 2 for seasoning, but inside it there is only 1 pouch. So, it becomes unclear the quantity to use for sauce and seasoning. Two, the Tzatziki sauce was a bit too salty and we didn't eat it. Three, the seasoning has an okay taste. Not something that you will remember, but it helps flavor the chicken. Disclaimer: I received the product for free to review.
