I was concerned that a cane would feel less stable than a walker or rollator. Walkers are too bulky in living spaces and rollators are better suited for out of the home use, as well. Mobility issues can be tricky to navigate when trying to live in a world not created for such issues. MedLine has been a trusted brand throughout my chronic illness and when a cane seemed the best solution, we started shopping MedLine products. My rollator is made by medline and is only starting to show disrepair after nearly a decade of constant use. This bariatric cane is extremely stable. The offset feet and handle are helpful in giving better walking room and proved a perfect solution to my mobility issue and need. It's got a nice, well made handle with non slip grip. The feet grip the floor well, and moves with ease over varying surfaces. If you need heavy duty support in walking, this cane comfortably supports up to 500lbs safely yet is lightweight to manage.
This thing is a beast. It may feel a little heavy, but it is strong and stable. You can feel confident in putting some real weight into it if you need to. It's built in such a way that it would be very difficult to bend, dent or twist. It really only cost a few dollars more than your standard aluminum canes.
This was a purchase for my 80 year old father that was used to this type of cane in the nursing rehab facility. He is happy that it is similar and sturdy. Also, affordable. He had already purchased a walker that he no longer needs. Worked out very well. And Walmart delivered to the separate address, too! Thank you!
Cane is very sturdy and handy to use when needed for knee problem. I am satisfied with ease of use.
not a flimsy cane at all! Quad base is larger and more supportive. Cane stands by itself better than any I've tried. This cane is my favorite. I trust this one!
It is heavier and sturdy for a big person. The feet you have to be careful that you do not trip on them especially if you walk with a support close to you.
Great value. I wanted a very sturdy cane to go upstairs with. Only one side of the stairs have a handrail, so I need a cane. This cane weight is aprox 5 lbs. I thought it would be 2 1/2 lb. I did want a sturdy cane that did not fold. I have a regular cane when I'm not going up steps.
The cane itself is very sturdy. Unfortunately, the feet are in a K shape not an X shape. Center mass is too far toward the back of the K feet arrangement. These design choices make the cane overly prone to tipping. The whole purpose of trying this wide base cane was my narrow base cane tipped over too easily.
The cane is a beautiful cane, but it is very heavy. I bought it to replace my aluminum cane and this one seems to be steel and it's too heavy for me to use.
I like the big quad feet. I bought the cane as an extra. ( my daughter and I use both canes and walkers.) This would have made it possible for us to both use a cane at the same time. The cane is so HEAVY, by the time I left. the apt . and got to our friends' car, I was out of breath (COPD)!!!Cane was TOO heavy!! I THANK YOU FOR THE REFUND
