This kit actually works good
I was skeptical that this would actually work, but after one attempt i was amazed. Having tried it once, the next go round will be even better. Gonna spend more time on the sanding step next time. There is enough product for a few uses. It's been a few weeks now and is holding up great. I'm so pleased. Meguiars is the best product out there. Saved me thousands from getting new headlights for my Land Rover. Love how easy and quick it was. Makes me happy when i can do things myself.
Great product. Obviously my headlights aren't gonna look brand new when they've been in the sun for 9 years, however, imagine never brushing your teeth and then going to the dentist to get your teeth professionally whitened… it did exactly what it's advertised to do. I suggest getting 2 of these boxes if you want to shine your taillights as well, because after all of the scrubbing on 2 headlights, the pads wear out and that's to be expected for a 1 time use product.
Worked amazingly. The foggy headlights went to crystal clear. I was really surprised the headlights could be fixed. And it's clear almost like new. Takes a bit if time but so worth it. Especially night driving.

This product is very easy to use. The directions are spot on. The headlights looked great and I can see so much better driving in the dark.
worked as intended. not a miracle worker, but obvious improvement
The Meguiar's headlight restoration kit has the headlights on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma looking almost new. I followed the directions exactly and took my time on all of the steps. After polishing both headlights with the drill mounted buffing wheel, I had to drop back and redo the driver side. I still noticed some scratches and hazing. After going through the steps again on the driver's side, both headlights look amazing! The before and after photos really show how much of an improvement was made. I chose the Meguiar's over other available options, because the final step is a protective coating. It wipes on using an applicator pad and adds an extra level of clarity to the lens. Time will tell how long the lens restoration lasts, but there is enough product in the kit to do several headlights.
Product works like magic I recommended some of my friends and they all on plan on buying it. The product is simple and easy instructions, will plan on buying more in future.
The lowest grit buffing pad that is supplied is 1000 grit. I ended up having to go down to 180/220 grit to remove some scratches and oxidation to get down to clean plastic. Then used 400 then 600 dry and then wet. Then back to the supplied 1000 grit, 3000 grit and finally polishing paste that is probrably 6000 grit. I would not say this "HEAVY DUTY" as it does not contain course enough sanding material. If your headlights are oxidized and discolored your will be there for hours. Guess that is why it says it only is good for 1 year. It is only polishing the oxizidation rather than removing it.
