Melissa & Doug 4 Wooden Classic Rainbow Learning Toys

I love the Melissa and Doug wooden toy four pack of toys. I love that none of the toys require batteries and the parts are big enough for a small child or a toddler can play with them. The primary colors are bright and the wood seems durable. Two of my children can play with these toys. My daughter who is an infant is able to start batting at the toys with her hand. My son, who is older, has had a lot of fun playing with the blocks because it requires him to use thinking skills of which is the biggest. Then, he can stack the biggest on bottom and then the smallest on top. He also loves using the hammer to smash the blocks down through the holes. I think every kid would love to hammer toys! This set of four toys together would make a great birthday or Christmas gift. I would recommend this toy because it would be suitable for a variety of ages and kids would enjoy playing with them.

I was really excited to get these toys for my daughter who is growing up so fast. She just started walking and needed her own toys. I envy a little that we didn't have such toys when growing but i'm so so so happy that my children get some quality toys like M&D. Her older two boys won't let her play with their toys but this is perfect for her. We had a few Melissa and Dough Wooden Toys and Metal Mini-Cookware toys before but this is great for 1 year toddler.. The wooden toys are sturdy and excellent quality. I know they will last a very long time. Pros: -Great brand of toys (Melissa and Doug) -Safe Toy for Toddler -Paint is very safe and last long time- we have previous toys that are going strong -Helps build fine motor skills -If the kids outgrew these toys, will make great donation pieces as the quality of these products are exceptional. Cons: -NONE Will definitely recommend this brand to any parent.

What baby doesn't need these classic toys?? This set comes with 4 different toys that are all indivially wrapped in plastic inside the box. You get the shape sorter, the gear board, the hammering pegs, and the ring stacker. They are all made of high quality wood and seem like they will hold up through multiple children!

This is a great set! My 18 month old plays with these toys daily. They are well made, colorful and keep our little one entertained for hours. They are by far his favorite, most played with toys and are great for improving motor skills. Very pleased with these as I usually am with Melissa & Doug toys.

First, I'd recommend that you buy these in store rather than having them shipped because the box was crushed upon arrival. It was only shipped in a bag surrounding the box, so that's not terribly surprising, but it's disappointing if you were planning on giving these as a gift, which is usually the case with kids' toys. Each wooden toy comes shrink wrapped to keep all the pieces together and displayed well. The colors are bright and fun. Some of the wood is polished and treated while some feels more rough like raw wood. The shape sorting cube comes with 12 shapes, with matching holes covering 4 sides. One side slides in and out to remove the blocks and store them when not in use. The gear toy promotes skills including matching colors, matching design (the waves of one gear and the next need to match up), and fine motor skills to remove and replace the gear and twist them. The gears are made of plastic, not wood, though the base is made of wood. The ball on the top of the stacking tower is easily removable and isn't meant to secure the rings in place. The rings are symmetrical and can be placed on either direction for the same cascading effect. The wooden pegs are secured in their holes using clear bumpers, most likely to keep the paint from scratching off. It can be flipped over to hit them in again. I prefer open ended toys for my kids to encourage engagement and creativity so the toy can grow with them, and for the most part these toys fit that criteria. You can roll the rings or pegs down a ramp, or line them up and name them, or stack the blocks in a tower. I think this toy set is a great learning option for kids!

These are just the best set of toys that I have seen put together. All the classic favorites all in one, it will make a great gift for not only my kids but it would great to gift to others. You get the shape sorter so they can work on matching shapes; the fun one that you pound the blocks in the stand with a cute little hammer; the stacking toy and the cute matching toy where they pieces look like little dudes.

Good, colorful, interactive toys. Our kids love colorful interactive toys like these because they spark their imagination. My kids really like using these in tandem with other building toy to build really interesting structures. These toys are also very durable so they will last.

Melissa & Doug is by far my favorite toy brand! I love the smooth wooden toys! This set comes with 4 colorful this! The stacking tower is my sons favorite but there is also a shape toy, a gear toy, and a hammering toy. Each toy is extremely well made and as usual with Melissa & Doug these toys bring my son a lot of joy!!

I am a big fan of Melissa & Doug toys. Most of the pieces in their toy sets are wood, making them more durable. So, of course, I had to get these for my soon to be here son. I love the bright colors and the simple interactions he can have with the toys. My five and 3-year-olds had to test them out for their baby brother, and they gave all three toys A+. All the toys are designed for the baby to develop those essential motor skills. I can not wait until he can play with these.

Be aware - this might be fake product. I was suspicious when I noticed the wood is uneven on the toys. Not what I would expect from Melissa and Doug. Then my suspicions were confirmed, when some of the shapes don't fit in the shape sorter! Ridiculous - Walmart should pull this immediately.
