Melitta Black Traditional Cone Coffeemaker - 10 Cup

I was tired of replacing my automatic coffeemakers every 5-7 years, so I went “old style” with the Mellita filters and carafe. It really is not more difficult going manual and it is also safer since I don't have to worry that the electric coffeemaker being left on after I leave the house.

I like this way of making coffee! It is faster than using an electric coffee maker and the coffee is not so hot that it will burn my tongue if I drink it right after I brew it. I prefer warm or cold coffee not hot coffee. I never knew this kind of coffee maker existed. It is perfect for me! Thank you Melitta.

A duplicate of my first pour through from the mid-1970's when life was just starting and a lot simpler. Works wonderfully and the coffee tastes as well as I remember. I highly recommend this coffee maker as an alternative to the drip maker for a grand pot of coffee, it will impress your friends.

The Melitta coffee maker is exactly what I was wanting. Makes the best coffee and I don't waste any of the coffee grounds. I can repour over the grounds twice and get all of the coffee out of the grounds.

I used to collect coffee makers (long before coffee was the fad), and this model was always the simplest/best way to make coffee. Sadly, a coworker destroyed the carafe and 30 years of memories went down the drain. Thank goodness the exact same replacement was ordered the very same day :-) Everybody laughs at me for using this, then after they enjoying coffee brewed in it (and seeing how many electric models they have since thrown away), they realize why I stand by my simple old school Melitta!

FOR $10 DOLLARS THIS MAKE A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE THAT CAN'T BE MESSED UP I HAVE AN OLFASHION PERK COFFEE MAKER. ESSPRESSO MAKET, FRENCH PRESS AND I LOVE THIS THE BEST IF TOO WEAK POAR THE ALREADY MADE COFFEE BACK OVER THE GROUNDS IF TOO STRONG ... ADD MORE WATER THE ONLY DOWNFALL IS MOST STORES SELL THE #4 SIZE COFFEE FILTER NOT THE # SIX FILTER WHICH IS BIGGER BUT GO AHEAD AND GET THE #4 THEN REFILL 2 1/2 TIME FOR A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE... I ONLY USE BUSTELLO SUPREME COFFEE 4 SPOONS IN FILTER AND STILL GET A GOOD STRONG CUP OF COFFEE.... LOVE IT

For some reason beyond my understanding, Melitta refuses to import #6 filter holder to the US even though they sell the #6 filters. I had hoped that this filter holder made by Melitta would be like the ones you get overseas. No such luck -- there is a protrusion at the bottom making it only usable on this glass carafe, but not on insulated containers. Too bad. Fine otherwise and reasonably priced.

This seller advertised this as a 10 cup and arrived a 6-8 cup. Paid higher price but not as advertised
