Melitta Black Traditional Cone Coffeemaker - 10 Cup

A duplicate of my first pour through from the mid-1970's when life was just starting and a lot simpler. Works wonderfully and the coffee tastes as well as I remember. I highly recommend this coffee maker as an alternative to the drip maker for a grand pot of coffee, it will impress your friends.

The Melitta coffee maker is exactly what I was wanting. Makes the best coffee and I don't waste any of the coffee grounds. I can repour over the grounds twice and get all of the coffee out of the grounds.

Seems like thicker glass than my previous one. The funnel cone now has ribs on the inside. Best value for poor over carafes.

Takes a bit more time in the morning (I am missing coffee being ready when waking up), but not a big problem. Night before fill tea kettle with water and prop the paper filter in the black filter to save a little time. I have good luck keeping it warm on the simmer burner on a heat shield using gas stove. My biggest wish is that my local Walmart store carried the #6 filters.

The coffee is clear and tastes great. No grounds.

If you are a real coffee inthuist you know drip makers do not get the water hot enough to extract all of the flavor from your coffee. I 100% recommend this system.

For some reason beyond my understanding, Melitta refuses to import #6 filter holder to the US even though they sell the #6 filters. I had hoped that this filter holder made by Melitta would be like the ones you get overseas. No such luck -- there is a protrusion at the bottom making it only usable on this glass carafe, but not on insulated containers. Too bad. Fine otherwise and reasonably priced.

If you like the great fresh taste of coffee this is it. The only thing I do not like is you cant make more then one cup at a time because I you let it sit it will and does change the flavor. I do enjoy the coffee maker.

I purchased this to replace my last mellita coffee maker. I have used this model for over 7 years. The order was placed with ease and delivered ahead of schedule. What more could you ask for.

This seller advertised this as a 10 cup and arrived a 6-8 cup. Paid higher price but not as advertised
